Compaq Presario CQ56 laptop won't power on?

compaq cq56-219wm orange light by power jack blinks 3 times and computer will not power on? Removed battery tried hard reset still will not power on? removed battery plugged in adapter and no lights or power on?

forrestt hill, check your AC adapter and make sure that you have the proper voltage. You may have to disassemble your computer and check your DC jack for broken solder connection. The blinking light can also indicate a bad motherboard.
