What do I do if my OneTouch Evolve won't power on?
I tried pushing the power button on my device and it won't turn on. The blank black screen is the only display shown.

Abigayle,
This could be caused by a number of reasons. Try these first:
1. Plug the phone into your charger for 10 minutes. The phone could be drained of battery and this will provide enough charge to power on.
2. Try purchasing a new charger (Mini USB). Your existing one could be faulty or malfunctioning.
3. Still not powering on? Unfortunately batteries malfunction and eventually need to replaced. Go to your service provider’s retail store to purchase and install a new battery.
If the phone is still not powering on you have a problem. The phone itself may be defective. Time to start shopping for a new phone! Good luck!

Take. battery out then touch all battery connections and hold power button for one minute. I have to do this part every time to turn mine on. Then replace battery plug phone in and hold volume button and power button at same time till factory screen comes on; then select normal start up .

Can anyone tell me how to actually fix the phone myself? i took it apart, checked all the ribbons, checked the resistors... The charge light comes on but the phone wont power on.

Well.my phone the alcatel one touch 5020n so basically i rooted it it worked fine installed fonts restarted the fun worked fine But then on the boot menu i clicked being a dumbass FAST REBOOT it would come on to the metropcs screen and all but wouldnt go to the home screen or lock screen i tried hard resetting it now doesnt turn on at all and yes the light turns on when i charage it
By the way i am young and this is my only phone as my mom is not rich and i also went to metropcs and they cant fix it btw it doesnt have service
