Says its Charging But Battery Is Not Charging
I have an iPhone 5s that says it is charging, but the battery is actually decreasing (as the phone continues to run, and is not being charged). I know its not the battery because I have tried putting a new one in and I am having the same problem. I don't think its the charging port because I am getting the charging symbol on my phone (and I can still access the phone with my USB and get to the files on my computer). I read a few forumns and the iPhone 5 has something called an U2 IC controller that can be replaced to fix the problem, However, I can not find something about that on the iPhone 5s. Looking at the Logic Boards it doesn't look like there is an U2 IC controller next to the A7 chip...like there is in the iPhone 5 next to the A6 chip.
Any help would be appreciated. I happen to work with some guys who are very skilled at iPhone repairs, they are just stumped and told me it was not the charging port and it was not the battery, there is something not working on the logic board itself (they think).
Thanks,
Ryan

I am having a similar issue on a customers phone... not sure why its fake charging. They did complain of battery issues before. But would a bad battery say its charging but not?
