Since 4.4 update, touch screen doesn't work...

Hi, (sorry for my English)

Recently I changed the LCD screen of the friend's Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005). I bought it here. After changed it, all worked good. Or since my friend update his phone of android 4.3 to 4.4, he can only use the pen ! Oo the 2 "sensitivs" and 1 "home" buttons work very well too. Only with finger it doesn't work :'(. I heard maybe the screen is a counterfeit and with android 4.4 they are not the driver to use the tactil with the finger. And it's impossible to flash an android 4.3 when the 4.4 is installed... Please help ^^ Thank you for the answers ;)

Hmm, that's tricky! I haven't heard of such an issue before. Do you still have the original (broken) screen? Perhaps you could swap it back and see if it works.

Many bugs with 4.4 KitKat. Do you try to factory reset the phone (save important data before do this)

Hi,

Thank you to help. I don't have more it, go to bins ^^. I repaired a lot of different phone before. It's my first Note 3 and of course my horse experience --'

--> Yes I try hard reset and flash with Odin with all Rom's --' But nothing.

And Noone 4.3 Rom's worked.

The first time the hard reset go back the Note 3 of 4.4 to 4.3, but my friend have installed again the 4.4. And now impossible to downgrade :'(

the part you brought mustve had a faulty electromagnetic film behind the lcd causing the digitizer not to feel your finger tips. and only have it function when the pen is triggered since thats the main purpose of the electromagnet strip. I've peeled it before and placed it on othe lcds in the past. esp with note 2s
