Ipad 4 3g/4g no service after digitizer replacement.

While openning an ipad 4 (model A1460) to replace the broken touch screen, i've damaged the right antenna. After replaced it with a new one, the ipad is searching the carrier for a long time and then stops with message "no service". I have checked and everything is connected, wifi, gps, back and front camera...are working whel except 3g/4g. Sim card is ok, checked in another ipad. I buyed the new antenna on aliexpress and the seller confirmed that´s the right one for this model. Can someone help me please?

Maybe you didn't install the antenna correctly. Upload some pics might help us to find the problem.

The right antenna should be the Tx antenna and proximity sensor at the same time, make sure you connect the connectors right.

Could it be the proximity sensor? I didn't know that it includes a sensor but i can confirm the connector is correctly connected. Could it be a software issue with it and the ipad doesn't recognize the sensor?

I´m going to try to connect the sensor of the damaged antenna with the new one. Thank You.

Check for IMEI and ICCID in the system settings. If they don't show, you have a dead baseband. It's usually beyond repair.

If you can see the IDs, double check your antenna connection, maybe you connect the wrong cables. If you are certain that antennas are good, you'll have to look for problems in the RF front end components.

I can see IMEI and ICCID. The antenna is a new one but i'm not certain it's good. Is there a way to test the antenna? The RF componentes are in the separated module? Before the accident, the Ipad was working fine. When i opened the ipad to replace the screen glass, cutting the right antenna was the only error. It's possible but i think it's a coincidence, i have dammaged the antenna and the only problem in motherboard is in comunication module. When i replaced the antenna i have only disconnected one cable in the motherboard so it was not possible to connect them the wrong way. Thanks for your help.

The sim board can read different carrier sim, I can see in settings different APN and carrier settings when i change them, just can't get signal. Keeps searching for a long time...

OK now this thing needs serious work for the cellular module. First of all try to restore the system software. Turn off the automatic carrier switch, wait to see if it can list carriers it has found. If it can find carriers, then maybe the transmit link is broken, or there is a problem with your service plan. If no carriers are listed, then the receiving parts are broken.

You tried holding the home&power button together until it reboots? I always get this issue on the iphone 4/4s.

Else, got to settings/general/reset and rest network settings and try the reboot after that.

I had the same issue after replacing my screen. It was simply replacing the charger board properly. There are connectors that link the antenna with the sim and if not replaced properly, it won't work.
