Safari on Snow Leapord Bad Idea?
Have security updates stopped for Snow Leapord, if so what browser should I be using and is Mail unsafe too?

Hey Pam,
Sadly, Apple had ended security updates for Snow Leopard sometime around February 2014. Also, Snow Leopard was ignored in December, when Apple patched Safari 6 and 7 for newer editions of OS X. I recommend that you continue to use Safari with firewall on and mail is not unsafe unless you get junk mail that you clicked the links of. That can be potentially dangerous. Otherwise, If it is possible, I recommend that you upgrade your OS from the Mac App Store. Overall, you should be fine.
*Hope this helps*

I don't think I can upgrade unless maybe Lion? I have the Core 2 Duo with 2 GB Ram. Even if I can upgrade to Lion, and I'm not sure if I can I've read conflicting requirements, is it (Lion) still supported with security updates?
You can upgrade to Lion. Lion is the last operating system that supports the core 2 duo platform. It's free, too!
Thanks for your help!

Do you have the Core Duo or Core 2 Duo version of this machine. If you don't know please give us the last three figures of your serial number.
