Left side of screen not working
To fix this would this be the LCD or the digitizer? the left side there is about an inch strip that is non responsive.

yes digitizer, but also check the digitizer connector itself---it is common for a pin or two to be pulled from the connector socket, then you need to send out for board repair to replace the ipad mini digitizer fpc connector.

If it's the touch that's unresponsive it's the digizer glass..
