Basically, one random evening my home button stopped working completely, because it is not dusty or sticky and the home button makes the good click noise I assumed it was the home button ribbon cable. I ordered a cable and replaced it successfully, with unfortunate results. The home button is still nit working, any suggestions?

Make sure phone is on..Open up there are two gold prongs on the dock connector and touch the two at the same time with the metal part of the screw driver if the screen dosent activate then it's the dock connector you need to replace
