put too much oil. How do I get it out?

On my mower, there is a screw on the underside which looks like a big set screw. It has a square hole on the top of the screw. I insert a 3/8" extension into the square hole, then snap my ratchet wrench on the other end of the extension. I then loosen it a bit with the ratchet wrench, remove the ratchet wrench, and loosen it the rest of the way by hand. When I have removed enough oil, I put the screw back into the hole and tighten it by hand until it is snug, then I use the ratchet to tighten it a bit more. Don't overtighten!

Tilt the mower up by putting the handle on the ground. This will allow you to access the underside of the mower.

Another way to get some oil out is to get a pump with a long narrow tube. You will insert the tube all the way into the dipstick tube, then pump some oil out. Here is an example of this kind of pump:

It appears that they are including only one tube with the pump. You need two -- one to go into the dipstick tube, and the other to go into the bucket.

I would not recommend using one of these for an oil change, because you might not get all of the old oil out. For an oil change, I recommend that you remove the drain plug and let it all drain out.
