Brand New Screen Too Dim.
I recently replaced both the screen and the backlight inverter yet my screen maxes out at about 1/2 normal brightness. It also flickers a bit too.

Help us help you. The more complete the description of your problem is (what MB you're using - there are many versions going back to '08, what OS you're using -there's a lot of those too) the more assistance we can provide, and, the sooner we can provide it..
Flickering indicates poor or week connection - look over cables with a magnifier for cracks, nicks etc. Ensure that the connector is soundly connected to the logic board at one end and the display at the other. How certain are you that the screen & inverter you used is compatible with the model you have?
