Replaced faulty connector with new, old part number 821-1259-A with identical part.
It charges but home button doesn't function, i sent it back and purchased another. same problem
So, now i have straightened the bent pins on the old connector and it charges and home button works.
so i bought another replacement connector same problem again.
please help !

Make sure the metal foam tape or conductive tape beneath it is properly installed, and the spring contacts are functioning
