How do I get past apple id on used 5th gen touch?

If you performed an actual full reset on the device, there would not be any Apple ID associated with it. What method did you use to reset it?

I would advise that you start by contacting the original owner and asking them to meet with you and sign out of the device. If they were, in fact, the legitimate owner they should be willing to do that.

you can crack it and delet the lock plist and it will never lock again because it willbe missing the section in software . need to jailbreak it and ssh into the file system to do this . simple for a hacker . i bough 10 locked ipod 5 touch all locked and all unlocked and sold for 500% profit

I put my locked device on top of a pile of papers that I didn't want blowing around. Presto!!! Paper doesn't move now

If it's iOS 7 you have a brick on your hands unless the previous owner signs in and deactivates the security lock.

You cant. If in activation mode the only way to get it unlocked is to call the previous owner

1 Download iTunes on the computer

2 log in to iTunes

3 power down device

4 close Tunes on the computer

5 plug cord into USB slot on the computer

6 Hold down the home button and plug in the cord

7 do not release the home button tell you see the screen with a cord and a iTunes picture

8 i tunes should open if not open it

9 click Update

10 a window should appear click update and restore or update depending on the ios

11 run update and Restore

I bought an Ipod 6 off EBAY. Person said it was checked over and it is usable but it is also sold as is. It looks like mine is a brick. I didnt know I needed the username and password. I tried to do a factory restore and Im stuck at username and password. Any hack programs I could use?

Indeed you need the OLD password to REMOVE the old password.

There is also the avenue of a third party DNS when setting up from a new device reset. Would give you an odd partial functionality. Google will enlighten using the keywords in this comment

From my understanding if you have a 5th gen or later there are only a limited number of ways to get back into the device.

1. By logging in via the registered account
2. By using the pc and same iTunes program that has the iPod's info stored on it. If the iPod was removed or computer was reset, then it won't matter if it was the same PC, it was setup on.
3. By emailing Apple support to have them remove the lock. They will only do this after you have proven you were the original owner. So, by sending them a photograph of the store receipt from where you bought it anonymously like from best buy or similar. Record from your bank showing the purchase would work if you don't have the paper one anymore. I did this for a client who updated his iPhone and no longer had the email address he set the phone up with. It took a couple of weeks to complete the unlock.
4. By having the original owner remove the device from their iCloud account. So, you would have to wait until they happen to get around to cleaning up the list of past apple products they no longer own, which may never happen or by asking them to remove it.
5. By some quirk of luck one of the previous owners (if there are more than one of them) who did have access have ever performed a jail break on it when it was using a version of iOS that didn't use reset protection. They would also have had to use a jailbreak method that saved the blobs set to that specific iPod which are needed to downgrade the iOS properly. Once the iPod (or iPhone, iPad, and certain MacBooks) updates to version iOS 7 or higher (don't quote me on the version it's been years since I was into jail breaking and unlocking apple devices for people) then the previous iOS blobs are lost forever.
6. You actually have a 4th gen iPod not a 5th gen. If you have a 4th gen, then you are able to downgrade to iOS 5 as the blobs for iOS 5 are available to all 4th gen iPods for development purposes for some reason. At least this was possible back when I was into this sort of thing.
7. You got super, super duper lucky, and the original owner paid to have their name, phone number, and email address etched onto the back, like the one I found, and you can contact them. This assumes that they respond to you and that they sold their device, and it wasn't stolen from them. If they did sell it and it's got the new owners account on it, then this info is useless as it's them you need to reach unless the original owner is willing to contact apple with proof of original ownership and bypass the new owner's installed account.
8. You finally find a legit unlock service that is actually able to remove the account lock after getting scammed a bunch of times till you found a legit one.
9. You actually locate the mythical purple mode tool from somewhere which gives you God like control over any apple device. Legend has it the purple mode tool is the software that apple uses to play around with test versions of iOS and new unreleased hardware without running into the blobs problem and other security blocks. There are lots of links to scams or fakes but from my research (everything but paying money to a likely scammer) and insane amounts of searching and reading I was not even able to confirm that the tool even exists let alone someone outside of apple even has a copy of it. The myth has it that it's only used on one system and that system never goes online and it's protected from being copied to a removable device. And if anyone does have it and the computer went online it would immediately contact apple and dudes in suits would descend upon your location to retrieve it.

Besides the methods listed above there is no other way to remove the account lock. Number 8 is the least likely to succeed and even if it did, you'd probably have been able to buy 3 new devices by the time you found a legit unlocker. Anyway, Those are the only ways I know of regarding the ability to bypass an account an iPod has been locked to. Even if you have access to the device but it has someone else's account on it you need their password to iCloud to remove it, Though if you can jailbreak it you can bypass the account lock. But if the jailbreak goes wrong and you mess up the OS to the point of not booting anymore and have to reinstall the OS then you will have to login to the registered account. I you have access to using the iPod just don't update anything or connect it to your own iTunes which will gladly update or reset the device to your iTunes or account but doesn't tell you that you first have to login to the old account first after it's been reset even if you use shift to specify an older iOS ipsw file.

Hope this clears things up for anyone I tried to be as comprehensive as I could and it is possible there is a new way to get past the account lock but from my experience bypassing such things via exploiting a software vulnerability has only gotten harder as time has gone by and Apple has patched those flaws.

Oh and one widely posted hack is to dial some number like 412 or similar then to quickly press home. Dialing 412 is equivalent to dialing 911 in Sweden or someplace and dials 911 here in North America. In fact dialing any countries 911 equivalent automatically dials 911 for anyone needing emergency help that doesn't know it's a different number here. Although this is more a practical joke played on those trying to unlock an iPhone through some oddball quirk. It has differing quirky steps depending on the creator and sucks desperate people in or those who know sometimes such weirdness has worked like with androids google lock being able to be bypassed by tapping on the web link to the privacy rules that used to open the chrome browser before setup was completed properly where you could then login to your own google account and it would associate with the device when you went through setup again.
