Logic board solder pad repair?

Block Image

Hi,

HELP HELP HELP!

In an attempt to replace a fpc connector I have managed to damage solder pad (contact) on the logic board of an ipad 2.

What's the best way to go about repairing surface mount inorder to put in the new fpc connector.

Any advise would be much appreciated!

Thank you

Nikki

Post a picture Nikki, we can help you figure out where to run a fine wire jumper to bring flow back to this pin.

Done.

As you can see it is quiet bad :(

Oh Heavens Nikki!---that is remarkably serious damage.

The time to repair that outweighs the price of the device no question.

If it were one or two pins, then you could make little fine wire jumpers to the copper dots on the left hand side, but there isn't even enough left to for the connector to stick to for you to even begin.

May I ask what technique/equipment lead you to this sad conclusion? Maybe your experience could at least serve as a warning to others?

Not my doing, this is how i got it back, from a so called repairer!!!! It originaly only 2pins missing. Taken to repairer.. Got told it cant b fixed and this is the state it was returned.

Someone obviously has been learning on it. However the guy has put in a complaint about the poor service.

I have never repairer anything as bad as this. That is why I am seeking help/advice!!
