Dryer stopped in middle of a cycle.
I have a Kenmore Electric dryer model 110.69622800 type DWSR-ele-2406026 CV 54. I unassembled the dryer completely. Cleaned every area. Spun the shaft of the motor….slight friction noise, but seems to turn freely. Seems there is a signal returning back to the start button - faint "click" or "trip" that will not allow the dryer to turn on. Dryer is younger than 6 years, but has dried clothes for 6 people - 2 loads per day average!

Mayer,
Thank you again for all your suggestions! They worked! It turned out that the 25' of straight 4" duct was pretty clogged with 14 years worth of lint! The lint from the duct filled my my shop vac to the rim! The dryer ended up overheating the heat coils over time to the point that one of the porcelain spacers broke. I replaced the heating coils with a thermal kit # 279816 along with the thermostat, thermal cutoff and the thermal fuse. The kit came with a jumper wire which was a small challenge because there was an orange wire I didn't have as part of the dryer. I still used the jumper wire to go from the thermostat to the element. I turned on the dryer and it seems to run without tripping the breaker or making any unusual electric noises! I am about to run a load in the dryer to fully test my work! Thanks again for steering me in the correct direction. I am guessing that the dryer will last another 6 years, so long as I clean the duct every year! Take luck, Frank

I have a GE DBVH512 and it was shutting off after 3 minute when running on high. After 5 minutes the power comes back on and it runs fine. It runs fine on medium heat without stopping. I checked the lint filter, piping, and hose and there was no blockage. I also cleaned all of them out and it still continued to do it. I even vacuumed out the inside (including the motor). There were no error codes when I tried to pull them.
Had a professional come out and went through the same process of cleaning and found a large amount of lint on the vent on top of the roof. He ran it empty and it ran fine, but when we put cloths in later we had the same problem (my wife suggested running it with cloths in it when he was here, but he told her that this wouldn't make a difference). On the return trip, they replaced the thermostat and said if that doesn't solve the problem; we may want to replace the control board. Now the dryer is shutting off twice when running it on the high cycle. They want $300.00 for the board. Any suggestions?

My dryer stopped working after I dried shoes. Is it because of the rubber . now it only makes a humming sound when turned on, but does not spin.
