Why is the phone NOT READING THE SIM CARD?

The phone is brand new and i have no idea why it stopped reading sim cards. I sent it to Motorola for like 4 times and they couldn't repair it. I thought I should tear it down myself. So what i want to know is WHAT SHOULD I DO TO REPAIR THE SIM READER WHEN I TAKE THE PHONE APART?
