Everyone said the faster hard drives were very expensive? i found this here 1TB Hybrid 2.5" Hard Drive. $169.95 Product code: IF107-122-2 Seems very reasonable price.

Is this the faster hard drive or fasted for my Apple MacBook Pro MD101LL/A 13.3-Inch Laptop. i think thats model.

few questions forgot to answer...if you can..

1.. do i need ...Universal Drive Adapter to install both orig 500gb sata hdd the slower one came with pc to new faster ...1 TB SSD Hybrid 2.5" Hard Drive. 2 why if this is so much faster is it so cheap?(1 TB SSD Hybrid 2.5" Hard Drive) Thanks again!!!!

Says: Works with All MacBooks and MacBook Pros (excluding MacBook Air and MacBook Pro Retina) If you do not have a MacBook Pro Retina it will work.

Yes- what you want is this kit, or, something like it. If you get your kit elsewhere be sure to get the recommended tools (every job is easier when you use the proper tools).

You'll still need an SSD drive OWC has a variety - (you can also get a kit with their drives).

If you are using the SSD I'd use it to boot instead of back up (SSD's write speed is not as fast as their read speed so many use the SSD to boot, then write to the HD).

Size wise you could get anything up to your 500GB hd (for backup).

Study (not just read) the installation guide. Most DIYers have problems pulling the connectors off logic boards because they didn't unlock them, pulled the wrong direction, or didn't use a spudger under the edge of the connector.

Separate and mark all your screws so they go back in the right spots.
