Cracked iPod screen

The crack is really small and near the top, I'm hoping I can put just a tiny little bit of super glue. I can't afford a new screen.

QEII is right, glue won't do anything. EIther live with the crack, or buy a new screen.

wow, um, that is totally not grounds to down-vote me, i understand i've downvoted some of your comments, but don't make this personal. This answer is in agreement with another poster and is a fact. Glue will not work. Fact. if you have another opinion then post an answer.

In the mean time- would anyone mind up-voting this answer to counter-act this personal down-vote please?

There you go, up-voted! Thanks for agreeing with me too!

thank you and you're welcome

I can't believe 11team down-voted that, especially considering they have a very similar answer further down!

1. Buy a case for it to eliminate the possibility of dirt entering through the space and damaging the unit.

2. Use clear mailing tape to cover the entire area it should be just big enough to cover the whole screen. it will look like a screen cover and keep the integrity of your device.

3. eBay is a wonderful place to find old broken units to use for salvaging parts. Find the same model and then you can use the parts you need. You can find this model very cheap since it is an older unit and has less demand.

Well, I don't think glue will help too much. If it is big enough to be frustrating, buying a new screen is the way to go to get rid of it.

Here's a CNET article and link to the youtube video for DIY repair---it's not easy though. Alternatively, you can find someone near you to fix it for a cost at icracked who also has DIY kits available for various generations of ipods and iphones.
