3DS game slot socket problem

Hello.

I've got a problem. While desoldering the 3ds game slot socket, a lilttle piece broke from the motherboard. One of those places where i am supposed to solder the socket into the motherboard. Is there a chance that the motherboard is still working, or is it broken and i have to buy a new one? It looks to me like the point is only meant to hold the socket in one place, and if i leave it unsoldered nothing will happen. Also a pic of what i am talking about.
