Dropped the phone in the toilet. How can I save it? Rice?

I found my phone in the toilet. I believe it was submerged for over 10 minutes. It now will not turn on. Is it possible to save it? Will putting it in a bowl of rice help absorb moisture?

The rice will help drying it out. That said, it is impossible to say if the phone will ever work, as it was powered up when submerged. I have seen phones work again, after being not functional for months. Give it lots of time to dry.
