I have tried to charge at home and at the laptop but it is only charging at my car charger. The only problem is that my car charger broke and i cant get anymore juice on it. i have even changed the battery and it didnt work. Has anyone had this problem before? What can i do to solve it?

Do you know what brand your car charger is? To me, it sounds as though perhaps your USB pins have gotten knocked out. Perhaps your car charger sends a firewire current? There are different pins for the firewire vs. USB.
EDIT: Seeing as how you say the charger was older, I'm willing to bet it was firewire based. When I say the pins have possibly gone bad, I mean in your actual iPod, not the cable. Of course, it could also be that you have a bunch of crud wedged into the connector. Try cleaning it out with a piece of paper or a small safety pin.

I don´t remember, it was a old one. I don´t even have that with me anymore. I know its not the cable or anything like that ´cause im using the same one for my iPhone.
