Guide to replacing my broken keyboard laptop?

My kids spilled orange juice over the right-hand side of my keys. I flipped it upside down, turn off the power and let it air dry for a couple days. Repowered it back on with some keys sticky, some keys giving me the wrong number/letter and some just not working. Mac genius did diagnostic test and everything was great, but the keyboard is probably the only thing that needs to be replaced. Also, after I took it home, the power button stopped working. My understanding is that the keyboard and power button work off the same structure.

I haven't seen any guides here, but I wanted to know if anyone has seen something similar to removing the keyboard and replacing with a brand new one either here for my model laptop or from another site?

Any details would be helpful.

MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Mid 2012 Upper Case Replacement

The name for the part is the upper case. It includes the keyboard, power button, and aluminum frame. Removing the keyboard by itself is very difficult, as it is secured with more than 50 screws.

Looking to do the same repair...but I want to go the hard way of replacing just the keyboard

but now I'm wondering, which, if any, other keyboards out of the A1286 series will work in that Mid 2012 MBP 15".

There are many on ebay and thus far I've learned, that at least the 2008 Model won't fit, because of the slightly different placement of the connector.

Others say "compatible with 2009 - 2012 models", but others say only 09-12.

Are there any key differences between 2011 and 2012 models, making it impossible to fit the aforementioned keyboards in my machine?

I'm asking especially, because I can grab the 2009-2011 model keyboards from my country, whereas the "special" 2012 models are to be shipped overseas from some weird Chinese place I cannot even pronounce :D and tkae 3-4 weeks for shipping

Plus the fact that additional taxes come on top lets me want to buy from a homecountry seller.

Any suggestions?
