iPhone 5 'no service' after screen replacement

I replaced the iPhone 5 LCD and digitizer assembly and now I get a 'no service' error. I was very careful when opening the device and made sure no cables are broken or got stretched. It was working for a day or two, but now when I opened it up again to check something else it suddenly lost signal and says "no service". It does pickup the sim, because it asks for the sim pin when I startup the device. I have tried rebooting several times.

I thought it could be the antenna that is broken, but that is still safely tucked away in the bottom half of the phone.

Any ideas?

I have this same issue. I cannot use the cellular signal it just reads "No Service" after a full teardown and rebuild. Phone works everywhere else and recognizes the sim card. I have tried restarting the phone, toggling airplane mode, and ejecting the sim. Did you ever find a solution to this?
