iPhone 4 Touch Screen is not working?

The iPhone was working properly, had never been opened and all parts were OEM. I was using it, then i set it down for a few minutes and when i turned it back on the touch went out.

I put in a different digitizer and nothing, then i a different motherboard with my digitizer and the touch worked. It's a problem with motherboard? iphone has been dropped many times but always kept in an otterbox.

JD925, since you digitizer works in a different phone, you can rule that out. Try to restore the iPhone and see if that makes a difference. If not, check all your connectors. Make sure there are no bend, broken or corroded pins. If those are okay, you may have a bad touchscreen IC. Hope this helps, good luck

Here's a tutorial with pics that everyone has been requesting. I've used this method over a dozen times successfully. Good Luck!!

There are 3 small battery terminals (shown below). You only want to touch the one to the far right (circled below). Avoid touching the other 2 terminals!!
