Just the gray apple screen showing?

Hi everyone im desperate about my Imac and macbook pro not working anymore, i recenlty moved to another town far from where i bought them and when i came to my new town and started my imac , nothing happens except for the gray screen and the eternal apple. And as for my mac book a few weeks ago i dropped it and it has the same problem. I tried to find something related but the solutions of pressing the keys on the keyboards do not work at all. And i left the OS installation cd on my hometown and its been so difficult to get one borrowed. Please help me i'm desperate because i need to work on the devices and none of them work :( im desperate.
