Screw Chart for iPhone 4S

I have seen the screw chart for placing screw as you disassemble the iPhone 4 but not the 4s. Is it the same? Can you provide one for the 4s if not. If it is the same how about a link on all pages that it would be useful on.

Christopher Chesler, each one of the guides on here list the screw size when they are removed. If you look at the guides and write the sizes down, you should get a pretty accurate list. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hello all,

These charts are all very good, but what do

you do if you need to finish off somebodies work

when you did not tear it down please.

Update

Hello again,

I do not know how I got to be in this

position,it was me who posted above question.

The charts I find are very good if you have one

before you start, but if like me,you are finishing

somebody elses work, they do not help.

What I would like to find,is a chart with a

number for the screw, then the numbers put

where the screw goes.If somebody would do

this it would make for some very happy people.

I obviously include myself in that.

Thank you for the chance to post my

thoughts on your site.

Update

For oldturkey 03

Being a newbe I could not tell the difference

between a 1.5mm and a 1.7mm screw that is

why I would like the chart described.

Thank you

EXACTLY SYN!!! My cat jumped up onto the paper with the screws on it (non-magnetic...I learned THAT lesson the hard way!). I have a digital vernier caliper and it's STILL brutal trying to figure out the minute differences in screw sizes. I don't know how anyone can manage to get the screws in the right places without a digital caliper.

There is SUCH an EASY solution to this problem....(pleassssse ifixit.....colour code the screws with the corresponding colour-coded holes on the magnetic mats!!! Even if it was done with Sharpie markers on the ends of the screws it would be IMMENSELY helpful. I am dreading putting this phone back together....

It sounds like you have a handful of screws that all ya know about is they go to THAT iPhone 4s. Am I right? If so, if you plan on doing this much in the future a good tool to have around is a quality set of digital calipers. Then you can measure the screws and match them up to the sizes listed in these guides. It's unfortunate the extra worK you will have to do, but it's a pitfall of picking up where someone else left off.

Best wishes and good luck. Just take your time because it will be tedious and time consuming. But in the end you will have them all where they belong and you already know how important that is.

Well Dave, I have a digital vernier caliper and it's STILL a brutal task to try and measure those screws. I have measured, measured again.... and again... and again... Those tiny increments are just too difficult to ascertain. As I suggested in previous comments, it would be SO helpful if ifixit could colour code the screws with the corresponding colour-coded holes on the magnetic screw map.

I would do this for other people if I could, but I'm just not confident enough that I have the right screws...
