Power light not working after dual hard drive kit installed

Released on October 23, 2012. Core i5 or Core i7 Processor. Apple Fusion Drive.

Power light not working after dual hard drive kit installed

I went through the process of installing the dual drive kit. Everything worked fine, with the exception that the power LED is longer working. When I first re-assembled the light was permanently on, the second time it is permanently off.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what I am missing?

I replaced the IR cable, as it was damaged. The cable is also used for the power light. It's all working fine now.

Same thing happened to me!

When I was assembling it back, I noticed there was a connector under the fan that was not being used, but saw no cables to attach to it. Could that be it? Or could the IR sensor be loose? I did not test the remote control. Everything else is working fine on mine, Bluetooth, Wi-fi, etc.
