keyboards compatibility on MacBook Pro late 2011

That is a really simple question. For some stupid reason while i was cleaning my MacBook i damaged it with a damp cloth. now i want to fix my MacBook.

So the price of a new keyboard is higher than a apple wireless keyboard, and as technician and eng in electronics, i think that apple designers would like to save money reusing their components.

Apple Wireless Keyboard 28A125529

so, is that possible to use the apple keyboard as spare part to fix a MacBook pro late 2011 keyboard

Lucas - Sorry to say you can't use the wireless keyboard to salvage parts from to fix your MacBook Pro. You'll need to get the correct replacement keyboard designed for your system (the physical mechanics and electronics are different).

But, you can use the wireless keyboard with your MacBook Pro as it supports Bluetooth wireless connections. Then you can at least use your system until you can get your system repaired with the correct keyboard.

Depending on what you did I would make the effort into opening up your system to make sure you didn't get anything wet that could get damaged over time and can clean up what is still left inside (you might even get it working again). As you didn't tell us which exact MacBook Pro model you'll need to review the iFixIt guides to figure out how to dissemble & clean your keyboard.

Thanks Dan.

My macbook is safe from any kind water harm, it was a water drop that cause of the damage, a critical hit. i've opened the computer and put it to evaporate... i sent the computer to a technician, depending of the price to fix it, I´ll use a usb or wireless keyboard till i got the equipment/components to fix it myself.

thanks for your replay.
