theres a bulge in the lower case, is my battery expanding?

recently ive been using my MBA a lot namely final cut pro and ive noticed it heats to a very high temperature but i already noticed this in the past when i run heavy programs. but now suddenly i noticed a bulge in the lower casing and my keyboard is slightly bent. is this because of my battery or is my productive defective? i still have my 1 year service warranty, what can i do about this? does apple help you with this stuff? thanks!
