Firewire 800 interface is not working
IMAC late 2009, Firewire 800 interface is not working. How can this problem be fixed?

Double check your cable and the systems connectors for damage. Also make sure your not trying to connect to the older 400 type device (for now) and the external HD drive is known to work on other Mac systems with the same cable.
If you still can't get it to work then your logic board has a problem. Give AHT a try.

Good link! Oldturkey - I guess I've been lucky! The only time I suffered issues was trying to get an older 400 stuff to connect or had a bad connector cable or system.
