Dropped in water. Dried out and charged. Now turns on and off.
I dropped my iPhone in water and pulled it out immediately. I tried drying it off with a towel but it had already been completely submerged and the screen kept cutting in and out. I eventually put it in a bag of rice to dry out any moisture that remained in it and left it overnight. The next day when I turned it back on the black screen with the silver apple came on for about 5 seconds then shut off again for about 10 seconds then back on again. It keeps doing this unless I plug it in to the wall or computer. Then it just has a constant screen of a usb cable with an arrow pointing to the itunes symbol. I have tried connecting it to itunes and restoring it but it only gets so far before it says it can't finish the restoration. I was just wondering if my phone is beyond repair.
Questa è una buona domanda?
I have a remporary solution: NEVER shut your phone down because you'll need to plug it to turn it on again. Also, charge your phone for 2-3 something hours to make your phone heat up a little bit and reactivate the moisture in your phone. Then you put it in the rice bag for more than 6 hours. Everything remained functional for like 2 hours, then the glitches started again.

Update: my phone's fully functional now again, but I have a weird method to do this PERMANENT SOLUTION. When your phone becomes active again (used for 5 minutes or above), blow air to the on/off button or SUCK the moisture of the phone for 6 seconds at a time. Really really weird, but I did it 6 times in the span of 4 hours yesterday and now I am 100% sure that my phone is back to normal and is never gonna have another glitch again. I recommend it, but do keep in mind to blow put the air that you've sucked from the inside of your phone because phones cause cancer (lol)

i did that and put my phone on the charger however my phone turns on perfectly then immediately turns grey then turns off

Rice trick is actually a wives tale... The rice traps and condems the water to dry to the board therefore leaving the mineral residue on the contacts which can create a contact between tracks on the logic board!! Never do this. Get a perfessional to ISO bath it and clean it up properly rather than doing it the Cheap way which can in the long run cost you more money!
