Touch Screen and battery does not work; How do I repair?

After about two years the battery stopped working but I only use the device in my car so no real problem.

However just last week the touch screen stopped working and I cannot even reboot it as it requires the screen to do this.

I can reset it but that does not correct the problem.

The unit looks completely sealed so I figure I would need to break a section of it to open it??

How do I open it and how do I repair the screen and battery while i am in?
