Buonasera, recentemente ho acquistato su Ifixit la batteria nuova per il mio Ipod 5th generazione 30Gb, ho seguito le guide per la sostituzione ma la batteria non tiene la carica.

Da cosa può dipendere?

Ho un iPod Classic da 80 GB. Quando lo collego al Mac mi dice che l’ultima versione software disponibile è la 1.1.2 ma ho visto sul web che è presente anche la 2.0.5. Come faccio ad aggiornarlo?

Ciao a tutti, ho venduto su ebay un ipod classic di 7° generazione al quale gli avevo montato questo SSD da 512GB, l’acquirente me lo ha rimandato indietro ma prima di rispedirlo lo ha formattato con un adattatore NGFF M2, ora stavo provando a ripristinarlo nuovamente col mio Mac ma anche se lo riconosce, quando esce la schermata sull’ipod di collegarlo a itunes, cliccando su ripristina nel finder non succede nulla.

Mentre se provo in modalità disco nel finder rimane la rotellina fissa di caricamento ma non accade nulla. ho provato con disk utility a formattarlo in vari formati, sia Mac OS journaled Master Boot Record (MBR) che in ExFAT ma mi dà sempre lo stesso problema. Ho provato con due cavi diversi originali o anche utilizzando un’altra batteria ma il problema è sempre presente.

Ho trovato qualcosa online che la soluzione potrebbe essere il ripristino della MBR, ma ho trovato solo soluzioni non per Mac.

Come posso risolvere?

La mia necessità è quella di far leggere il mio ipod 120 Gb Classic all'autoradio via usb sulla mia nuova macchina (Dacia 2024). Non so il motivo ma ho letto da qualche parte che al massimo deve essere un 32 Gb. E' possibile fare una cosa del genere? Oppure c'è un sistema diverso per fare il miracolo??? (PS=La Dacia non ha un ingresso aux). Grazie in anticipo per ogni eventuale risposta.

screen shows only an 'dead iPod' icon and the web address www.apple.com/support/ipod. Now tried to charge it and it just says 'very low battery' but not charging.

iPod Classic: Why does my iPod show a red "x" in a circle?

My 80 GB iPod Classic shows a red "x" in a circle and won't go into disk mode. Does that mean the hard drive is bad? It happened when I connected it to my computer and upgraded iTunes to 9. I am using Windows XP.

iPod Classic: Dead iPod- NOT the battery

iPod won't turn on, regardless of whether or not it is plugged into anything. The battery life is still in really good shape and was fully charged at the time it stopped working. Had walked to work with it on, left it in pocket, took off coat, then took out iPod to use in an audio system and it wouldn't turn on. Seems improbable it could randomly die in 5 minutes...

iPod Classic: My iPod will only play through one headphone?

I have a 160 GB iPod Classic, bought just over a year ago... so, the warranty is no longer in effect. Basically, my headphones jack is messed up. Sound will only come out the left ear. If I press the headphones against the left side of the jack it will play correctly, but I have to hold it there in order for it to work. Is this fixable? Or should I just go ahead and buy a new one?

My 60GB 5th generation iPod was working just fine – for years – but the other day it joined the choir invisible, shuffled off its mortal coil, went to meet its maker. This iPod appears to be an ex-iPod: it's bleeding' demised.

This bucket-kicking was not preceded by a dropping accident, extreme temperature, nor battery run-down – just a sudden "F#ck you! I'm not going to work anymore!"

I've tried to charge it (multiple times) for multiple hours, tried to reset it multiple times (and, yeah, I know the drill), but nothing. Absolutifactually nothing.

Question: should I simply give up? #$^#, I hate throwing stuff into the e-landfill if it's fixable, but this iPod has all the hallmarks of a hardware failure that might not be recoverable.

Any suggestions?

iPod Classic: iPod cannot be restored.

When I plug in my ipod to itunes it says it has to be restored. I click restore and it runs for a minute then reads - The ipod "ipod" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1439)

I was following ifixit steps to check the functionality of the hold button (diagnostic). The hold button is working fine (0 and 1). But now my screen is stuck on HP Detect : 0. It says press menu to continue, but when I press menu nothing happens. I have also tried pressing menu twice and several other combinations...

So i have an either 80 or 60 gig ipod {there's paint on the back so i cant see or remember} and at first it was stuck on the Big red X, someone recommended that i let it discharge all the way cuz i already tried hitting it so the needle bounces back or something, but that didn't work. So i let it die, plugged it into my computer and now it's stuck on the charging please wait screen.. i let it charge over night, that didnt work, i tried reseting it but all the happens is it turns of and says connect to power, then shuts off again. What do i do?? and why do none of these quick answers work for me but they seem to work for everyone else!?!?!?

well i charged it over night and it hasn't done anything new

iPod Classic: Battery won't charge up - only works when plugged in.

Hi,

It got to the time when the battery needed to be replaced, or so I thought. I took it to a repair shop who installed a new one, after which they told me I was good to go. Once the battery had reached its max paying time, I plugged it in (for several hours)for it to recharge. However, when it came to unplugging it in view of listening, again the battery stated it was out. I tried different chargers, both through the mains and a computer. So, I brought it back to shop where I left overnight so they could take a look at it. The next day, I returned to find that they had tried multiple batteries but the device still wouldn't charge. I can now only as a consequence listen to it plugged into the wall. I suspect there is something wrong with the motherboard but not too sure. Can you help?

iPod Classic: How can I get my iPod Classic to Restore? Nothing works!

When I plugged my iPod into the computer this week, iTunes tells me it is corrupted and needs to be restored. When I attempt to restore it, it tells me that it can't be restored and gives me error code "1439." I have installed the newest iTunes and have repeated this process many times. I have tried different USB ports and cords. I have a PC (with Windows Vista) and when I put my iPod in "disc mode" and went to it's properties, it also will not restore. Help!
