iPod Classic: Currently having trouble syncing iPod from iTunes... Need help!

My iPod classic which is roughly a year old... has been experiencing some difficulty. My iPod can sync about 400 songs and then, all a sudden, iTunes starts freezing and won't close or practically do anything. So then i have to restart my computer just to get some activity from my computer. Error messages of all sorts start to appear when it gets to 400 to 500 range. Some are unknown and some are (-69). Anyone have any information to help, please. If not, my 250 dollar investment is equivalent to a rock.

Added:

**Also when i try to eject after doing 350 or so songs it deletes the whole ipod...*

iPod Classic: iPod not recognized by Windows?

My iPod classic 160Gb is not being recognized by my windows PC (tried several with XP, 7 and 8)

It just comes up as unrecognized USB device with a malfunctioned pop-up.

In device manager is says unknown device under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

The iPod charges when connected with a Power Cord but not on USB-->Computer.

I have tried everything from re installing iTunes drivers etc. Resetting iPod putting it in disk mode etc. Different don't help as well.

For the rest it works like a charm, the music plays and everything works except connecting it to a computer.

It seems like the connector just won't recognize the USB cable properly or something.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for solving this problem or do I have a dead iPod?

iPod Classic: How to determine site of HD related problem in iPod Classic this 160gb

I definitely have a problem related to the hard drive on my ipod. It will not do anything beyond go to the "Restore using Itunes", "Do Not Disconnect", or "Ok to Disconnect" screens both when I have it on its own or plugged into a computer or wall outlet; I have run the manual HDD SMART diagnostic and it won't go past the "opening disk" screen. I opened the thing up and secured all of the connectors, no change with activation/formatting or with diagnostics. I ordered a new hard drive from ifixit, plugged it in, same result with trying to activate or format. The diagnostic did work but it returned some pretty abysmal info:

Retracts: 196615

Reallocs: 200307

Pending Sectors: 196611

Poweron Hours: 196635

Start/Stops: 199947

Temp: Min 19C

Temp: Max 51C

So is this a failed logic board, or connector or did I get a bad second hard drive?

iPod Classic: Where can I buy a replacement hard drive?

Hello everybody.

I have an iPod classic 7th gen with 160gb, but it needs a new hard drive. (it has 16376 reallocs, yet 0 pending sectors)

Now is my question which hard drive to buy?

Here on the ifixit website the hard drive is out of stock, and when I look on ebay, there are a lot of different types (with a lot of different prices too).

I'm not the most technical person, yet replacing the drive won't be a problem for me, but choosing the right one is... (I don't have any knowledge about the specifications etc.)

Thank you for helping.

iPod Classic: Menu screen comes up but cants play music?

I changed the earphone Jack and battery and it worked fine, but I noticed I left a small rubber piece out so I decided to put it back in. When I went to start the ipod, it went to the home screen and the display menu showed but did not react when clicking on it. The display goes to dim and I have to push the hold button to left and then to right and then it lights up again. I tried resetting with holding down center button and menu but it does it again. I tried putting old jack in and did the same thing. Have not tried putting old battery. Also I can't back up to Itunes because there isn't an option for it.
