iPhone X: Will the phone still work if I damaged 1 or 2 grounding pads?

While removing the old waterproof seal (during a screen replacement) I managed to rip 1 grounding pad completely off and partially tore another one of the 5 grounding pads on the bottom right. How will this affect my phone and can I buy this part somewhere?

I'm trying to restore TrueTone on an iPhone X after I replaced the screen. I tried the method that doesn't use the original LCD, but the programmer wasn't able to read the data on the new LCD. So I tried the other, and I was able to read the data on the old LCD and write it to the new LCD. I restarted the phone, but TrueTone still doesn't show up in the brightness settings. Can anyone help me?

iPhone X: iPhone X face ID

Recently replaced a screen on an iPhone X for a customer. Everything is fine except Face ID, phone saying Face ID not available. I know the ribbons are very delicate so was v careful (have done this repair before) and there are no signs of damage to the ribbon.

Any ideas/suggestions?

iPhone X: iPhone X randomly bootloop

My iPhone X got water damaged and was sent to the service center. After a long period of time, they returned it to me "repaired." They told me that something in the charging segment had been replaced, but it still didn't work properly. It would work fine for a whole day and then randomly go into a bootloop the next day. I noticed that it was getting extremely hot near the cameras, so I reported it. A week passed, and it was returned to me. It was in a bootloop again, but they fixed the issue with the overheating near the cameras. It's worth mentioning that these bootloops occur once or twice a day, so it's somewhat better. I managed to retrieve the logs, and it seems that there's a problem with the l2c line. Can anyone identify the problem, maybe in a specific component, if that's possible? I would greatly appreciate it. I will paste the panic logs below.

iPhone X: Why my iPhone x screen has green tint?

Recently while using my phone it unexpectedly the screen flashed and a green bar appeared in the top left side. Now my screen has a green tint, when the brightness is low the green tint appears (note that the green bar on the top always remains the same) but when i increase the brightness the green tint fades a little bit. My device is running the latest IOS 16.5 for iPhone X. My screen does not have a single crack, nor the phone has been near water, screen has never been replaced or fallen down. Can someone help me in resolving this issue. Thank you

Hey guys, I’ve had an iPhone 10 for nearly 2 years now, a while back I accidentally smashed my screen and got it replaced for cheap, although I am quite certain that he did not replace the adhesive. Recently the phone has been exposed to water (not much at all) and the screen goes off and flashes green, although the touchscreen still works. This is the third time that this has happened. I have checked the sim card slot and there is no red sticker indicating water damage. The first time this occurred I left it in rice and overnight and it did work the next morning. I stupidly made the same mistake a second time and the demonic green flashing screen stuck around for 2 months, only to randomly start working again on a Sunday morning. Now I have made the same mistake for the third time… (i know what you’re thinking don’t worry) Am I right in thinking that I just need to open up the phone and give it a good clean, rather than just taking it for a pointless expensive repair? Advice, please!!

HELP I'm trying to replace my iphone x screen that i purchased back in 2017 (model a1901) but i'm having a hard time figuring out why my screen is not the same as those shown on youtube videos and parts replacement sites. Anyone know where I can get this screen? All videos show it's a long cable and the screen simply opens like a book, this bad boy says nope. I figure if i can find a replacement it'll also help on how to take this apart

iPhone X: iPhone X boot loop issue

I am a technician with the skills and access to microsoldering equipment. I am trying to avoid separating the two board layers if possible because it is a pain to get back together and may not be necessary. The phone is doing a 3 second boot loop. I have tried to turn it on with only essential components plugged and I have frankensteined new hardware in order to rule out hardware issues. It is recognized by iTunes. I attempted every reset possible, and none of them work. When attempting to restore the iPhone through iTunes, the restore stops right after extracting software (likely because of whatever is causing the boot loop). On the board level, are there any pads I can test in order to confirm that I need to split the boards? Does anyone have a clue what might be causing the issue? On my USB detector, the output reads a stagnant 0.47A @ 5.09V

So today I repaired a customers IPhone X screen. The customer had a screen burn with the keyboard being the location of the burn. Due to this being an AMOLED screen I am familiar with this issue. However after putting on multiple different screens, the screen burn was still there. Any ideas?

I recently replaced the screen on an iPhone X with a new iFixit OLED screen. Worked OK for a while but has started operating by itself i.e. screen moves, apps open it has even dialled an emergency number without human input.

I have switched off 3D touch and anything else I can think off but to no effect. I opened it up again and checked all the connections even replaced the battery and made sure the screws were tightened up to no effect.

Any suggestions on what may be causing this and possible solutions gratefully received.

Thanks for the advice. I cleaned the screen, body and case with IPA. I haven't ventured into the board yet as I wanted to see if that cured it first. It didn't, short video attached shows how it is behaving:

iPhone X: Blank screen after rear camera replacement

My rear camera started shaking and only taking blurry pictures. I tried restoring the phone with no change. I then replaced the rear camera with one from ifixit which then only showed a black screen. They sent me another one and tried again with the same result. Anyone have a similar experience or some advice?

Something happened to me when I was repairing the iPhone X

I damaged a piece of the main camera's FPC connector and in the upper left corner of the main circuit board a piece of the plating is gone (copper shows through).

The device works perfectly except for one error that I couldn't find anything about on the Internet: A kernel panic with thermalmonitored error and missing sensor TP1A

I couldn't find anything about the TP1A. It will probably be near the camera connection? After unplugging all components, the error still occurs and the device restarts every 3 minutes. But there was a short time when loading, the device didn't restart for 1 hour?

In a Chinese forum, the battery is listed as the error description for the TP1A, without further information on it. Is that correct? The built-in battery is already too "old" (1000 cycles with 82% capacity) anyway, but it still worked without any problems. Does it have to be flushed out? I'd rather have it than something to do with the logic board ;)

Could someone enlighten me more about the TP1A?

iPhone X: Replacing rear housing on iPhone X

Hello - I have a cracked rear glass on my A1865 iPhone X. Recently I found a really nice original rear housing that’s complete except for the logic board and SIM tray. Aside from installing the screen, logic board, and SIM tray (and possibly the battery) from my phone are there any other pieces I will need to bring over from my phone for it to work properly in the new housing? Does the taptic engine need to be transferred as well?

iPhone X: iPhone randomly resetting every week or so in the morning

In short, I had a swollen battery that seems to have damaged my digitizer. I replaced the battery first and aside from needing to re-seat my SIM card a few times everything seemed fine for a while until the digitizer started malfunctioning, so I replaced that, had to re-seat the SIM card again and then everything seemed to be okay except that about once every week or so my iPhone X will just randomly shut down (sometimes with a little flicker of green color near the top right of the screen) and reboot itself early in the morning.

Could this be the SIM card? The SIM card reader? Something else?

How can I even begin to narrow it down?
