How can I buy a large amount of screens for a cheap price? Does each screen really cost $50+? Also I would preferably buy from a site like this or Amazon, I’ve had bad experiance with Chinease companies. Please help. Thank you

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 no service, one capacitor shorted

Hi guys, I have one iPhone 7 here. It has no service, no baseband firmware in settings. I know it could be the baseband chip or baseband power IC (BBPMU). I want to reball the BBPMU first. However, I found one capacitor next to the BBPMU is shorted (see attached picture, the one in the red circle). The problem is that the schematics I got here is different from the phone. The phone is an UK phone, the iPhone 7 schematic available online probably is for North America or Asia? The PCB layout of the UK iPhone 7 is different from the schematic, so I don’t know which line the shorted capacitor belongs to, and I don’t know what it is, because the capacitor is simply not there in the schematic.

Can anyone tell me which line it is please? And what’s its name? Many thanks.

iPhone 7: iPhone7: Reboot loop, Not charging, random jumps between 1% and 100%

Hi Guys,

I got an iPhone 7 about 8 months ago. The first accident was about a month in dropped it on the pavement (screen protector didn't help), cracked screen.

Had the screen replaced. It been fine since. Until about 2 weeks ago, the battery level dropped from 63% to 1% in split second while I was using it.

I've tried hard reset, DFU Restore (I had the phone plugged in to enter this mode), the phone refuses to turn on without being plugged in, and when that happens, it just gets stuck in the reboot loop.

Hard to tell if its a battery or bad software, I really do not know. Any help would be a great first step.

iPhone 7: Battery discharge even when phone is turned off.

Hi

I bought two iphone 7 as second hand and i find the following trouble: quick battery discharge (half a day autonomy). I thought that both batteries were dead but the result with battery life was a 75% capacity score.

Of course , complete restore as new phone as been done with last ios and battery drain is still present. But what is the most surprising is that the battery discharge occurs also when the phones are switch off. And not a few percent drop around 40% drop for twelve around with the phone completely off. A test with apple staff mentioned that battery was quite good.

And this with 2 different phones (seems ok inside, water indicators are clean) and no physical damage except some scratch on screen. Any help ?

By the way i have tested ios 11.3 to get the new tools related to battery but i didn’t find it...

iPhone 7: iPhone stuck in boot loop when front camera is connected

I fixed the broken camera lens of my brothers iphone 7. I opened the phone and unplugged the back camera. Removed the lens and replaced it with a new one. I didn’t remove the screen assembly. So far so good. After putting the camera back and closing the phone it kept showing the Apple logo and turning off. Endlessly.

After hours of frustration I noticed the phone would boot correctly by unplugging the front facing camera ribbon. So I turned it off again and connected the ribbon to be sure. And yet again the phone got stuck in a boot loop. I Unplugged the front facing camera flex cable and got it running again..

I did not touch this connector with the repair. And I was very careful. I fixed a lot of iPhones but this seems very strange to me. I can’t find the problem.

With the phone on I noticed the 3D Touch and home button/Touch ID are also not working. This is a different ribbon cable to my knowledge and too much of a coincidence. Also a connection that’s untouched by me or anyone else. Can someone point me in the right direction? I don’t know where to go from here.

Many thanks! :)

iPhone 7: Home button not working after charging port replacement.

I just replaced an iPhone 7 charging port and now the home button isn't responding.

I didn't do anything with the display assembly since it was working just fine.

Since it didn't work I took the phone back apart, made sure the home button was connected on the display assembly, and everything checked out and is connected.

Not sure why the home button isn't working.

I see to the left side of the charging port there is a pressure connector that goes up like it would touch the backside of the home button, that too is in place and not bent down or anything that would make it seem like it wouldn't connect.

Just looking for some help and if anyone else has encountered this and has overcome it.

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 gets in boot loop. Fixed by squeezing bottom of it.

Hi all,

My iPhone 7 has been intermittently getting stuck in a boot loop. The only way I can stop it is by putting my thumbs to the left and right of the home button and giving it a firm squeeze.

iPhone 7: Can't open iPhone 7 to save my life please help!

Hey guys,

I recently purchased an iPhone 7 with a cracked screen on eBay just to do one successful test run before I start offering the repair to customers. It just came in the mail yesterday and... I can't even start the repair, because I can't get it open. I have tried the iOpener with iSclacks, which did nothing. I ruined a pair of needlenose tweezers trying to jam them in there and twist it to get an opening, and feel like I almost got somewhere, but I didn't. Then I tried an iSesamo like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hIs6vLdH...

I don't know if I did it incorrectly, but it did not work. If anybody has any tips on how to do any of these correctly, or an alternative method, I am open to anything at this point since I just want to get this phone open. Thanks a lot!
