iPhone 7: iPhone 7 home button flex damaged.

Hi all

I have stupidly damaged the home button flex on a Iphone 7 and now will not work, after a close inspection of the flex I can see under magnification the tiniest of cut on the flex just before the flex bends close to the FPC connector, so if I replace the whole part will it function as a normal home/return button but without the fingerprint ID scanner?.

iPhone 7: Phone was stuck at apple logo. Was set aside, now it turns on but...

A week ago, my iPhone got stuck at the Apple Logo when I tried to restart the phone. Before that, I was experiencing issues during a call, but I can not verify these problems as I was in an area prone to bad cell service.

Anyways, I tried everything from updating the phone to restoring the phone, and nothing worked. At one point, iTunes was able to detect the phone, battery level, storage information, etc. just like a regular phone, despite the phone still being stuck at the apple logo.

I left the phone alone for a week now, and today I decided to charge the phone. It did not get stuck at the apple logo this time and turned on. From there, I began testing the phone. At first, I listened to my missed voicemails from the week. A few minutes in, the voicemail voice started cutting out. I think this was happening both on speaker and receiver. Next, I tried voice memo to see if the mic was working, and it didn't (The app was lagging too, maybe because the phone was attempting to connect to the mic??). I tried a test call, and my voice went through for a few seconds, and now it doesn't even work. Then I tried testing my camera, and the app was very slow. Switching between the camera and video modes was laggy, and videos and slow-motion camera modes don't work (the two modes that use the mic).

I then tried playing a video on youtube, and it works. Audio plays fine.

Sometimes speaker, receiver, and mic works, other times it doesn't. I think it is the mic that is the problem here. Everything is working fine through a Bluetooth speaker. However, I believe that a piece of hardware on my phone is almost about to give. It works sometimes, and I was lucky that I turned on my phone today, when it was working.

I need help narrowing down the issue. Is it just the mic, audio ic, or is it something bigger?

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 no longer boots up after battery calibration

i recently changed the battery in an iPhone 7. The replacement went smoothly (or so i though). The phone booted up and I started the battery calibration process (charge until 100% and then wait two more hours, then drain the battery then charge it back up). Once the battery was drained, I plugged it back to charge it and left it for a couple hours (after it showed the apple logo). Once I came back a little while later, the phone was completely dead (no vibrations, no force restart, nothing). I tried putting back the original battery but I still don’t get anything. Any Ideas ?

iPhone 7: iPhone 7 Apple Logo Loads then Boot Loops.

Hi, I have an iPhone 7 which loads about 5% with an Apple Logo, then seems to crash and reboot all over again. I have tried:

Rebooting with Front Camera Flex removed

Rebooting with Screen Assembly completely removed

iTunes and 3uTools flash

Both flashes are successful, but after the flash reboot the problem persists

Reseating the battery

I have heard that other people with the same problem say it can be an Audio IC issue, but the nature of the boot loop suggests it isn't the IC since it does not stay on the Apple Logo, instead it just reboots every 10 seconds.

When flashing using 3uTools, the iPhone actually appears as a device with all the information for about 1 second, before it disconnects and the boot loop cycle begins.

Is there any other suggestions/advice I can try? Thanks.

iPhone 7: Phone sometimes won't receive calls or texts. SOMETIMES not all

Hello,

I have an iPhone 7 and within the past 2 days, it SOMETIMES hasn't recieved any calls or texts and won't pop up in missed calls or text history. It is not a problem with screentime limitations, as these took place in the middle of the day and there are no restrictions on text or call. Voicemail isn't set up and i've only opened up my phone once 2 years ago to replace the battery and followed all instructions with everything working after the replacement. But the thing is that it won't even notify me that I am currently getting a call and then won't pop up in the history. Is this apple limiting what my phone can do so they can make me buy a new one?

I AM OPEN TO ALL ANSWERS SO MAKE SURE TO POST AN ANSWER SO THAT I CAN RESOLVE THIS ISSUE

iPhone 7: Reason for boot looping

I did a battery and a charge port replacement on this iPhone 7. Prior to the repair the device was working just fine, image displaying, touch was working, etc. I finish the repair and then the device turns on and then every 3-5 minutes it starts boot looping. So then I assumed that it may be boot looping due to receiving a bad charge port replacement so I replaced it with a new one. That does not help at all. The device is still boot looping.

So then I checked out the Panic log and got two different panic logs. 1.) "Missing sensor(s) TG0B \nservice. and then 2.) "i2c1::_runinterruptmode timed out waiting for interrupt, last read status 10210118 int shadow00290100 Ofer 00000000 fifo 00000004 for device pmu"

So now how do I go about this? Is this going to be a battery issue or a motherboard issue?

I mean as of right now I am leaning towards testing another battery. to see if that may fix the problem.

Any bit of knowledge would be helpful!! Thank you for your time I really appreciate it!!

iPhone 7: Homebutton not working after screen swap

I have a strange situation. I have 2 iPhone 7 and I am trying to make on out of both:

1) iPhone 7 32 GB original no parts changed, 2) iPhone 7 128GB, battery replaced screen with 3rd party replaced.

The 128GB iPhone has the homebutton working but Touch ID does not work and the screen is not of good quality. My idee was to replace the complete screen incl Homebutton with the 32GB screen. I did this but no matter what I do, on the 128GB the Homebutton is totally unresponsive(Screen and Button original Apple).

Obviously I did not break anything because when I put back the screen to the original phone it works perfectly. When I put back the 3rd Party screen on the 128GB the home button works again. I have tried everything I am aware of incl DFU Mode and full restore of the firmware etc …

It sounds to me as if the Home Button would be linked to the original phone and would refuse to work on the other phone.

Any Idea?
