I’m asking specifically about iPhone 13 Pro Max replacement screens, especially Soft OLED screens.

Can anyone who has installed or is currently installing a Soft OLED screen test it with a Multi Touch Tester app and confirm the maximum number of live touch points?

I want to know if it detects only 5 fingers or if it can detect 6 or more fingers at the same time.

This is not about PUBG or any game. I’m only asking about the actual screen touch capability using Multi Touch Tester.

If you have tested it, please mention:

1. Screen type/brand: Soft OLED / GX / DD / X07 / other
2. iPhone model: 13 Pro Max
3. Maximum touch points detected
4. Where the screen was purchased, if possible

Please reply only if you have actually tested it or can test it now. Thanks.

Over time it became:

• white screen
• occasional recovery
• then reboot loops with pink screen flashes before shutdown

A third-party shop replaced the display with a non-genuine screen. After that:

• phone rebooted every ~5 mins
• then eventually stopped turning on completely

Apple checked it and said:

• connectors looked fine
• no obvious tampering
• but they could not power it on

Phone still warms slightly while charging.

Does this sound more like:

• OLED/display failure,
• battery/power management,
• or board-level issue?

Has anyone seen similar 13 Pro Max cases where the data was still recoverable?

• Background: This phone has had a motherboard repair (motherboard replacement/mainboard replacement) before and was working fine.

• Problem: Recently, the phone was water damaged. A technician helped restart the phone, but now it's experiencing a serious power leak (battery drain).

• Current Status: The phone powers on, but the battery percentage drops rapidly even in standby mode.

• Request: Given the history of previous motherboard repairs and recent liquid exposure:

1. Can you provide a video or visual guide on how to locate the leak?

2. Which specific areas on the iPhone 13 Pro Max motherboard are most susceptible to short circuits after water damage, especially if they have been previously repaired?

3. I have attached a screenshot of the device's current state (image.png).

4. Can I repair it myself? Please help me. I need guidance on what to check next using basic tools. Thank you!

I have recently had my front screen replaced as I accidentally dropped it and it smashed. I took it to my local repair shop and he changed the screen, though after 3 minutes the phone kept on continuously restarting, the screen would freeze, go purpleish-pink and then reboot.

I took the phone back and got him to change the screen to a different one, in case this one was faulty, but it kept happening.

I have found the panic dump and attached the screenshot here, could one of your marvellous people have a look at the first page and let me know what is happening so I can go back to the repair shop and tell him to fix it? I have also downloaded the whole file as well and stored it in Dropbox.

I want to know what kind of internal damage this could be. I haven't taken the phone apart because I want to know what my best option is, and it's possible that paying Apple an arm and a leg to replace it might be the better option. However, if it's easy/cheap enough to repair, I would be interested in doing that. My best guess is that the modem is damaged or disconnected, which I believe is an integral part of the motherboard. Is it possible to fix something like that? Is it possible a different component is damaged or disconnected that affects connectivity?
