Dunked my phone in a pool after a screen replacement - moisture seeped in through a small break in the adhesive sealer. I was able to crack open the phone and get all the moisture out with one exception - inside the main camera module itself. It seems that the camera module's ability to move somewhat compromises its water integrity, and as such I can see some small bubbles on the inside of the module itself.

I've already run a fan over the camera module for several hours, but no luck. I've also wiped it with a microfiber - it's definitely inside the module itself.

Anything to be done here? The rest of the phone works fine, except for the TrueDepth Camera which is borked. I can live without Face ID for a few months while I wait for the 14 to come out, but a camera right before a big vacation... unless I can fix it I might have to shell out the $200 insurance deductible.

I'm a tech repair hobbyist and I've purchased this iPhone 12 that has restart problems. After verifying the issue, I reviewed the panic logs and found that it could not communicate with 'Thermalmonitord' and the sensor in question was 'prs0'. Although I could not find any details on the location of this sensor for this model of phone, I found that people were having success on the iphone 11 series by replacing the charging port. After replacing the charging port with an OEM replacement the issue is still present, as such I'm turning to the community for help.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where this pressure sensor is and which part I would need to replace?

If you would like to see the full panic log I can also provide it.

i think I’ve found a way to change the iPhone 12 screen as reprogramming the screen doesn’t work. Send the screen to be refurbished! You get to re-use the original apple screen and its a lot cheaper. Let me know what you guys think!
