iPhone 11: Brightness sensor is causing ghost touch?

When exposed to a change in ambient brightness, the phone will receive seemingly random touch input rather than increasing the screen brightness. I’ve changed the front sensor assembly with the flood illuminator, and it’s still doing the same thing. Am I wrong about what flex cable the ambient light sensor is attached to? What’s going on?

iPhone 11: 3rd party display - genuine display message

Hey there,

my iPhone 11 screen is broken and I‘m thinking of repairing it by my own. So I collected all needed informations. At least I read about the genuine display message, which is popping up. I can‘t fix this by my own (already watched the video and I‘m to afraid of a chip grinding removal). So I called a repair service nearby and asked for „only doing this chip thing“. He told me since iOS 14.2 the Message won’t appear anymore. Is this True?

Actually the message itself isn’t this bad. I‘m planning to use a refurbished display, so quality will be fine. But I‘m thinking about selling it on future and surely a buyer will not be amused about this stupid fake warning.

So, did anyone managed to replace the display without getting a hint about genuine display and also without switching chip? Or is it still the same problem?

iPhone 11: iPhone 11 replacing back housing, need help with an unknown part.

I'm trying to find someone who can help me answer a tough question. I am replacing the back housing on my iPhone 11. I purchased a back housing and behind the tiny hole next to the camera lenses is supposed to be some sort of cover that possibly has to do with the mic? My new housing has nothing here so you can see right through the hole to the outside. It is just above the power and LED flash and top mic cable. I tried removing this from my old housing using heat and being as careful as humanly possible, but it was extremely hard to remove and I messed it up. Any idea what this is and if I can buy it somewhere? I have looked and looked, but there is no info about it. I attached a pic of the spot in my new housing where this part goes and 2 pics of the old part I removed from my old housing. Thanks!

iPhone 11: battery percentage stuck for a while after taking off charger

So I recently got a brand new iPhone 11 running iOS 13.3 and well yesterday I took it off the charger at 100% and it stayed at 100% for 33 minutes. Today i took it off the charger at 95% and it stayed at 95% for 30 minutes then I restarted it and it jumped up to 96% for a minute and then stayed at 95% for 10 more minutes. After that battery starts to go down as usual but I am just wondering if this is normal and why it’s happening. I am using the standard 5W charger.

iPhone 11: The best way to remove the remaining battery adhesive

My Dear Community!

I successfully managed to remove the battery for an iPhone 11 that I am currently refurbishing and saving. My only problem is that after the battery removal there is still very very strong glue on the metal area that I tried to scrap off with my spudger for almost 2 hours and using 99% isopropyl alcohol but I don’t know what am I doing wrong.

Should I keep it soaking in the alcohol and after use the spudger or should I use a different chemical?

iPhone 11: Shutting down and Flashlight intermittently not working

A friend of mine has a iPhone 11 and is having issues where it shuts down every once in a while and has had issues with the flashlight not functioning. I was considering a battery replacement, but I am unsure if that is the best first step. I have the skills to do so but would like it to be a one and done repair not something I have to go back to if a new battery doesn't fix it. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thank you!

Edit: He had the battery replaced on it about 2 weeks ago due to it shutting off etc. but the problems are still happening. Please advise.

iPhone 11: Display discolouring after battery replacement

Hello,

My issue is discolouration at display edges after battery replacement. The phone is iphone 11.

So i needed to replace the old battery (it was 78% and not bulged), removed the old one no issues, put the new one flush, cable on the side (not on top), removed the old adhesive, put the new adhesive on the sides, I had to redo the adhesive, because i did not manage to put it correctly at first and after that closed the phone without much effort and the display fitted fine without effort, i put the screws without overtighting them and the next few hours everything was great, but at the next morning (the phone was left charging overnight) it had yellow discolouring on the edges of the display - like there was pressure from the inside, opened the phone again removed the adhesive (to remove the pressure if there was any) and closed it after that but the discolouration unfortunately does not go away. When i opened it the battery looked fine there is no bulging.

So now I am thinking of putting a new display but I am worried that the new one will end up like the other.
