iPhone 11: iPhone 11 FaceID not working - but EVERYTHING looks fine

Hi there,

I’ve bought iPhone 11 (not Pro) which had cracked display - I’ve updated it form iOS 13.7 to 14.0 - I’ve replaced it with good one but not Apple - I’ve programmed (with iCopy Plus) it to have TrueTone which I have now (but still message it is not genuine Apple) - and I am unable to setup FaceID

Most of the time it is stuck on “Move Lower / Higher” sometimes FaceID not Available - sometimes when trying to set up FaceID it looks like it cannot catch autofocus and gets blurry (when in selfie mode - it never happen).

“Red Light” present (I was able to capture it using other iPhone camera) - selfie photos are sharp - proximity sensor is working - automatic brightness working - I’ve updated to iOS 14.0.1 - same nothing.

Many people reporting they have same problem after iOS 14 - but I do not know if that happen because of iOS 14 as I STUPID done update before replacing LCD.

iPhone 11: Replacing iPhone earpiece speaker; lost a Phillips screw. Will it work

I was replacing my iPhone 11 earpiece speaker and I lost a Phillips screw that holds the assembly inside the phone. Will the speaker still work or will it have issues if only 1 screw is missing from the assembly?

iPhone 11: Weird iPhone 11 Issues. Board Problem?

So recently my iPhone 11 has been acting a little weird. Here’s some background info…

Back in February or January, I had my phone on the car mount with the heat on (I can’t use a CD mount since I don’t have a CD player, so I use a vent mount). One day, it overheated the phone and I didn’t notice until I got to my destination. Previously, my phone did have the occasional issue of refusing to connect to the stereo (it would show the loading wheel in settings and wouldn’t do anything), and this was the only way to fix it:

Turn off BT (this would usually take like 3 seconds)
The BT slider would gray out for about a second, but then you could turn it back on.
You could then reconnect manually by selecting the stereo in device list.

Neither my 5S or XCover Pro do this, so it’s likely a phone issue not a stereo issue.

After the overheating incident, everything has gotten worse. Whenever I use my hotspot, my phone will randomly turn it off and disconnect, and sometimes it just acts VERY slow. Also, the Bluetooth issue from before has gotten worse and sometimes I have to reboot my phone to fix it. It’s also disabled itself a few times.

Also, after this incident, my phone will occasionally shut off when it’s dropped. Some applications also act up and slow down occasionally, but it’s not too bad.

Is this a board/hardware issue or a software/iOS issue?

iPhone 11: Why won't touch work on my iPhone 11?

I had to change the bluetooth antenna of my iPhone 11. Everything went smoothly, and when I plugged in my screen, for a moment everything seemed to work perfectly. After about 30 seconds, I noticed some ghost touches on the iPhone screen. I figured that the connector might be a little loose or something, so I shut off the iPhone, checked the connections and turned it back on again. Now I saw no ghost touches, but rather the upper part of the screen didn't work at all. I repeated the previous step, and everything got worse: 2/3 of the screen stopped working, from the top to the bottom. I happened to have a screen replacement, and tried that: same result. Now I get no screen feedback - the screen works, is bright and all, but I can't press anything, unlock my phone etc. What might be the problem?

iPhone 11: Sapphire glass camera replacement

Hi everyone! My girlfriend broke her camera lens only two days after having her new iPhone, so I'm looking for the best possible replacement. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a sapphire glass lens. Where can I find it? I live in Italy but I would be willing to order it from any other country.

I was also wondering what's the best glue I can use. I replaced my iPhone 6s lens many times and I never found the pre-applied double-side tape that effective: it doesn't seem to adhere that well and it makes the camera stick out too much. Is the T-8000 the best option? And do you have any advice on how to apply it in the best way? I want to prevent any water to get inside.

iPhone 11: iPhone 11 carrier unlocked but only accepts one network

I picked up a used iPhone 11, seller told me it’s network locked so I figured that can be fixed by getting in touch with the carrier. Long story short, in about (settings) it shows that there is no sim restrictions. Called the carrier and they told me that they don’t lock iPhones.

when I try to insert any other sim, the network registers but throws me a “No Service” error. Sometime it shows one bar for a brief moment and then reverts back to no service.

its not a sim or hardware issue as the sims work in my XS and the 11 works perfectly on the one network. IMEI has not been blacklisted.

NB. Screen was replaced but it shouldn’t affect anything

can anyone tell me what it is? Anyone experiencing the same issue

iPhone 11: Replacement battery not charged?

Hello!

Im doing a battery replacement for my iPhone and the replacement seems to be depleted? I made sure this was true by testing my old battery and new battery (to make sure I didn't mess anything up) then putting the new battery on a charger. It first gave the normal empty battery charging symbol iphones usually do and came back up after some time on the charger. Is this healthy for the replacement battery to be fully depleted upon receiving it? Should I send it back to IFixIt?

I dropped my phone on the 2nd day of having it and a perfect circle busted out of my top rear camera lens and I have to replace it cause the pictures I take are horrible so I don’t even take them. iPhone 11: LCD?/Screen is Unresponsive To Touch

Dropped my IPhone 11 on hard ground, only one crack went to screen. However after 2 days, the screen became partially unresponsive (the bottom bit didn’t respond to touch). Now 4 days later, screen is totally unresponsive to touch ; Siri works with Hey Siri, phone unlocks with Face ID, side buttons works, camera works, but the screen. responds to no physical touch. What should I do?

I decided to order a new front camera assembly as that would at least restore the front camera however it doesn’t appear to work. I was wondering if this is a paired component and therefore I would need to go to Apple or if I have damaged something.

iPhone 11: Microphone static/not working after back glass repair

I just had my back glass lazered and replaced. Since then i’m experiencing microphone issues. I’m wondering if the tech didn’t damage a microphone with heat. I would love for someone to help me out and tell me which mic it is. All mics sound normal when I use videos.

What works

Voice calls (I think, although a few have complained)

Video both front and back (i swear they all sound normal, but maybe i’m crazy)

What doesn’t work

Siri

text-to-speech

Voice memo (sounds like straight static)

Facetime and Speakerphone (sounds like static as well)

I’ve done it all when it comes to software. Even did a complete wipe and reset. It’s got to be a hardware issue I think, Any help on this would be great. I just need to know which microphone to replace.

iPhone 11: Why does my phone screen keep going black?

So, for the past three days I’ve had this problem with my phone. It started Monday, when I’d woke up to watch a bit of YouTube and my hone just went black. I was worried so I contacted Apple Support. I followed their instructions and nothing prevailed. Being the frugal person I am, I decided to wait out the day to see if eventually my phone would work. After leaving it on the charger for maybe three hours my phone’s screen had become back visible and was on the recovery mode screen. I restored the phone and went on with my day. After this, the same issues occurred the next day maybe 20 hours later. I went through the same steps and the phone came on after hours of being on the charge. Today, my phone has went black for a third time. I’m trying to figure out if there is anyway to stop this or what the problem is? Let me give a little information on the condition, when the screen goes black the touch is still responsive and I can still get notifications. I know the screen is responsive because I can still turn the flashlight on. It also still charges. Please send help as this is getting aggravating.

I phone is displaying network error after dropping it. Phone still connects to wifi and Bluetooth and I can’t see any other issues apart from the phone now not reading any simcard. Although phone displays that the iPhone needs to be updated for it to now work I know that’s not the issue as I’ve updated it several times and still same issue. Do I need to replace the logic board? Or simcard reader? Or worse the motherboard board for my iPhone to work again? Please help

Hello,

I had some technical difficulties with my first spot welding battery. Long story short i needed to remove the new battery and want to be carefull not to bend it..

I guess i used too much rubbing alcohol...

Alcohol got into the main back camera and it looks all wierd...

Onto the Face ID:

The front camera was having trouble focusing, i cleaned it really good in alcohol and seems to focus ok now.
Face ID Says Move phone higher or move phone Lower.. Then eventually it gives the message "face id is not available"

Because of the issue with the rubbing alcohol i am guess/hopping the issue is with front camera.

Question: Can the camera itself cause face ID not to work?
Question: Can the dot projector be damaged from rubbing alcohol?

Does anyone have experience with either of these programmers? Does the face id tester just test, or can it copy to a new dot projector?

iPhone 11: Will the replacement battery charge to 100%?

I just purchased a replacement battery for my iPhone 11, the instructions were spot on and the tips were helpful. However upon the first charge the iPhone only shows 91% and will not charge to 100% it’s been charging for almost 9 hours (overnight). Is this normal?
