iPhone 11: Device shows up only on DFU Mode, and only shows a black screen

My cousin's iPhone after a long day at her job her iPhone started turning off every few minutes and after one hour of that happening, her screen became black, no Apple logo. When i force restart the phone, i can hear the vibrations but there is no display on the screen, When i plugged it in into my computer, it didn't show anything i tried recovery mode, didn't work, and that's when i entered into DFU Mode, the iPhone showed up and when i went to flash the firmware, it gave me an error code 4013, then i went to use 3rd Party Software to try to flash it, it got at 11% and in the flashing process it said "Unable to switch DFU mode to recovery mode. The software also included something called "Fix Flash" which i used around 10 times and it also kept on getting to 11% which it also said "Unable to switch DFU mode to recovery mode" and i found that you could see more things in the program and this is what showed up.

iPhone 11: iPhone 11 display fading out after screen replacement

Just finished replacing an iPhone 11 screen. The condition of the phone was fair, front screen was shattered through the screen protector, back screen shattered, phone body bent (it was most likely run over by a car), and the display itself was barely visible, but it responded to touch and voice.

I was able to successfully replace the OEM Apple screen with a third party display. After reconnecting the display cables and the battery, I powered on the phone using the side button and it started up as normal with the Apple logo centered on a black screen.

When the phone finally started up and landed on the lock screen, the display said “iPhone is disabled” and quickly faded to black within seconds. The phone then became unresponsive to touch, voice, and none of the side buttons worked to power it back on. I tried to power it on normally, a hard reset, plugging it into the computer and wall adapter, but still no response.

(UPDATE: After putting back all screws and securely fitting the screen back onto the iPhone, the phone is responding to touch “Input passcode to use Siri”. I am still unable to see anything)

The only way I am able to get the phone to power back on is if I disconnect the battery cable, reconnect it, and then power the phone back on either by pressing the side button or plugging it into a power source, but even then it only lasts 2 seconds like it did before.

I need to be able to back up this phone to move the data onto another, but I need to find a way for the phone to stay on. Has anyone had this problem when repairing an iPhone 11 with an aftermarket screen? How can I get the display to stay on?

iPhone 11: How can I fix the green tint from my phone?

So I recently got a waterproof bag that got a slit in it without me noticing, it filled up, not all the way with water, only barely of the bottom of the phone, then when I dry it off, I look away for one second and it changes the regular colors to a green tint, but everything except the Face ID worked perfectly fine, I charged it then went to get rice, when I came back it was normal, but I still put it in the rice, after it was working until a few days later the green tint came back, but then left after when I tried to use the Face ID, I needs some real help here, I don’t think this is normal and I’m scared that it’s permanent, and I don’t trust Apple much to tell me the truth, why is this the case, and if I can, how can I fix it?

Update: It came back but with a white flickering line, I’m trying my very best to test all of y’all’s things, I’ll update soon either if it comes up again or something else

iPhone 11: Why iOS upgrade fails after installing new (non-Apple) battery?

Hi. I have an iPhone 11 in perfect condition. Not a scratch. It has iOS 14.8.1 installed on it.

My daughter wants it as replacement for her broken iPhone SE running iOS 17.

As iPhone 11's battery got old and its "health" deteriorated, I took it to a technician who installed a new battery - that was NOT genuine Apple.

Since then I got all kinds of warnings from iOS - but my iPhone 11 works perfect, I can do everything, upgrade applications, etc. All is well - Except I cannot upgrade the iOS any more.

I erased it, and tried to move my daughter's iPhone's data to the iPhone-11 directly. It failed because OS was "too old". Same when I tried to restore the iPhone 11 from my daughter's iPhone backup on my iMac.

It REQUIRES that the iPhone be upgraded to latest iOS for some reason. I agreed - but every time it tries to upgrade the iOS - it failed.

It manages to bring the update to the iPhone, then, when it "verifies" the update - it either hangs forever, to breaks - claiming "the internet connection was no longer there".

Internet is perfect, both for this iPhone and for every other device, and I can see a new "warning" notification about the battery not being Apple's from about the time the update failed.

I tried all possible ways to upgrade the iPhone OS (on air, via iTunes + USB connection) I tried several iOS versions, I tried to do it on different MacOS version (from 10.14 to 13.6.7)

-- To no avail. It sure looks like Apple tries to punish me for not installing a genuine battery.

However - can anyone suggest a cure other than replacing the battery with a genuine Apple one?

iPhone 11: After replacing battery, and keeping the old BMS, sometimes it says 1%

Hi all DIY folks,

I'm having a odd problem when I'm replacing battery cells on iPhone 11. But first, let me explain to you how I succesfully multiple times have managed to avoid permanently installing the tag-on flex cable between the socket and the battery flex cable.

Maybe you can spot a thing I'm doing wrong here.

Take out old battery of iPhone 11

Install compatible battery with unoriginal BMS, in order to 'reset' BMS info in the iPhone.

Start up the iPhone, and let it recognize the unoriginal battery

Shut it down again, remove battery.

Remove BMS from original battery, spot weld a new battery cell to the BMS

Attach a tag-on flex cable, program the tag-on flex using JCV1SE or other programmer

Attach the battery with tag-on flex to iPhone, start it up.

Verify that it reads the percentage correctly (100%)

Shut down the iphone

Remove the Tag-on flex cable

Install the battery, start up the Phone.

The phone still says genuine battery and 100%

So this has been my preferred procedure when installing replacement batteries, also because I can save money on the relatively pricey tag-on flex.

However, once in a while, my customers return the phone to me saying that it only says 1% and cannot charge. Sometimes I need to do the procedure again. This last time, I chose to leave the tag-on flex inside the phone permanently.

How do you guys do it? Is it mandatory to keep the tag-on flex cable, or is there some other reason why it suddenly says 1%?

One of the culprits could also be that the welding was not succesful, leaving a flimsy connection, and because of the power outage to the phone, it would not be able to read the BMS correctly after regaining power?

Let me hear your ideas or comments.

Thanks,

Carsten

iPhone 11: Can the bottom mic be replaced?

Is it possible to replace the bottom mic (used for “handset” calls) on an iPhone 11? If so, where may I find the part and would it be done similarly to replacing the bottom speaker?

iPhone 11: Display is separated from the "display-backplate?"?

I removed the display to clean some dust from camera, but when I lifted the display I saw that I couldn't see the battery, that the metalplate is still left. Now I cant find a way to clip back the display as there is no clips, its just loose. Where do I go from here? :O

Could't find any post similar to this.

iPhone 11: iPhone 11 screen laggy after screen replacement

The iPhone 11 screen is very laggy and sometimes registers pressing as holding, it works slightly better with low brightness, but it rarely works without any problem after turning it off and on again. I didn’t have a problem with a „reproduced” screen, but when it broke, I’ve cheaped out and bought a worse screen because it had some good reviews. Can the screen quality be the issue in this case? Also, heavy games like Wreckfest work perfectly fine without any frame rate drops whatsoever if it has to do anything with the „lag”.
