ive used the iphone 6 plus battery replacement guide and replaced the battery on my phone a few times.

I had a first generation ipad pro 12.9inch, and im interested in replacing the battery for it, but when i did a search, i didn’t see any guides for ipad pro battery replacement.

I know there are tear downs and also guide for replacing the ipad pro screens, home buttons etc.

Does anyone know of a good guide i could watch that walks me through how i could replace the battery on my ipad pro 12.9 inch? I was wondering if the reason there isn’t one for the ipad pro is because the technique is similar to standard ipad battery replacement?

iPad Pro 9.7": Charging Cable tip stuck inside port, need help

Hi,

the tip of my charging cable broke and is stuck inside my ipad. I have tried the safety pin tip but all my safety pins instantly bend. I have dug a little bit of the white material in the middle of the broken part out but I am unable to get it out. Any tips for getting the tip out of the charging port? When I took it to the store, they said I would have to replace the entire ipad.

iPad Pro 12.9": Not charging / dead issue

Hello,

Recently had an iPad pro 12.9 in for repair.

Device is dead customer explained before the device was dead it was stuck at one percent showing charging but not increasing in charge.

Device was completely un-tampered with so that ruled out any issues during a previous repair.

We have tried all the easy options (battery charge port) still no luck!

Today we set about replacing the charge IC (something we do commonly) but still no Joy device powered back up at 1% but still wont charge! Very frustrating!!!

Any ideas?

iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen: Replace Face ID Flex Cable on iPad Pro 12.9 Gen 3

I have an iPad Pro 12.9 gen 3 with a busted screen. Sadly the face ID flex cable was damaged as well. I read from someone that you can (on an iPhone) “desolder the Face ID Filter on the proximity sensor and move it to a brand new proximity sensor and your Face ID will work again”. I have no idea how this would be done. Is there anyone that could do this if I send the both the old and new flex cables?

iPad Pro 12.9": Touch screen not working on iPad Pro 12.9” (1st gen)

So my brother and I were changing a cracked screen on the iPad Pro last night and everything was going smooth. We were following the steps and when we plugged ribbon cables in we forgot to put the plastic tool in separating the battery.

There was a tiny tiny spark and so we figured the worst which was correct. We assembled everything back together and behold the touch screen didn’t work. The iPad powers up and the screen will turn on but you can’t do anything.

My question is, is there a component that I can purchase to replace whatever we fried to get the touch screen working or did we just ruin this iPad beyond repair.

I purchased it from a friend for 150 dollars because it had a cracked screen. The I purchased the new screen for 200 dollars. So I’m 350 dollars invested. Just trying to figure if it’s salvagable or I’m out on my money.

iPad Pro 12.9" 3rd Gen: IPad not charging enough to turn on

Hey everyone,

Im trying to figure out what is causing this issue. The IPad stucks in a black screen, showing the battery icon (without the power cord) when I press the button to turn it on. This all happened after a screen replacement. I thought it could be the battery connector (which was replaced) causing the IPad to not charge, but it seems to be fine. I checked the resistance between each pin of the connector and the logic board and theyre all below 1 Ohm. So my next step would be checking if the battery is dead or if a part on the logic board is missing. Does anyone have some advices for me? Can anyone tell me if there is something wrong or missing in the pictures below referring to the logic board? That would help a lot.
Thanks in advance.

The ipad pro 12.9”(1st gen) It wasn’t used for over a year. When booting it up after that period, the apple logo appears and disappears a couple seconds after it. This goes on and on. But it will only work when the ipad is charging.

What I tried:

Charged for 45min on charger

Hard reset, with no luck.

Putting the ipad in recovery mode, the itunes logo appears, stays on, but when I want to connect it to the pc it instantly shuts of the display. Pc can’t charge the ipad.

Might this be a battery problem? That the battery can’t hold it’s charge when charging. So the battery is ‘empty’. And there is not enough power to boot it up when connected to the charger?

Thanks in advance!
