I'm running into difficulty separating the shattered display from the chassis. The iFixit directions don't exactly take that into account. Yes tape will help keep the glass from falling out, but the surface isn't perfectly smooth. In turn, the suction cup can't hang on tight enough.

I've used clear packing tape to coat the screen, and reapplied it along the left edge numerous times throughout the adhesive heating process (NOTE: heating the adhesive strips will cause the tape adhesive to soften as well). With each attempt I end up slowly pulling a bubble into the tape (cracks beneath are allowing air to enter as the adhesive gives way). I've removed the tape and reapplied a new strip to try again and again, heating the adhesive between each attempt. Still no such luck.

I decided to set it aside for now while I chew on the problem. My next idea is to use aluminum tape (used for HVAC ducting) rather than clear packing tape.

Anyone have any better ideas? I'm all ears/eyes! Thanks

Son's iPad, admitted to having "jailbroken it" Tried to upgrade to IOS 11.

Restore fails about 2/3 of the way. Error56

Tried different PC's, cables, etc.

Apple tech says...probably Logic Board.

Where can I find Logic Board, have experience repairing iPads, iPhones etc.

I have tried using different cdmi cords to see if that was the problem, but it didn't change anything. I tried having my computer 'search for more displays' in the settings and nothing happened. I only have access to one of each adapter but the wii to cdmi has a light that comes on when I plug it in, suggesting that its at least connected. Are these adapters themselves just not compatible and should I just finally give up on this project, or do you have any ideas to help me figure this out?

I have ipad pro 12.9 1st gen.

I fixed in 3rd party store broken screen couple of months ago.

After that some of spots are not respond my touch.

It's teroble.

I'm looking for how to make it perfect now.

i've havent find any schematics yet so i'm clueless.

the missing smd are in the green rectangles.

From what i've seen so far on youtube, the 2 upper left could be 2 coils 1.0 ohm, but i'm not sure. No cules about the data filter on the lower right.

Can some1 help me?

I've replaced the screen on an iPad Pro 9.7" and this was just a routine regular repair, however, when this had loaded up theres no touch!

All visually looks ok on the logic board and have tried multiple screens with no luck - does anyone have any suggestions?

Whats the difference if the iPad will be used mainly for photography processing (24.2 MegaPixel DSLR input) and possibly for recording music (GarageBand or other software)?

If I need to back up while typing it sometimes freezes. Sometimes I start to type and when the keyboard comes up something is already pressed. It can be the back button, another random key, or sometimes it is an “accented” letter such as å or ē which I have never typed. Other times it will turn off while on a web page, turn back on and it is frozen, you cannot see any of the website tabs showing, it is just a solid gray.

The only thing that works is a force restart, that gets pretty irritating after 7-8 times a night...
