I also need a solution for the worn out adhesive on the button bracket. Not sure if I should use the existing tape to hold it place and glue around it or scrape off the tape and start with something new.

recently i broke my ipad screen digitizer, craking it. but there was no damage to screen (inner display working fine). I gave it for repair for digitizer replacement and also asked him to put tempered glass protector (this time being very cautious). after the replacement the screen lock function which switches off display and locks ipad if i close lid of my ipad case had stopped working. Nowadays the color reproduction is drastically different. Like the red lotus ios wallpaper which is of red shade is more of pink shade in my ipad.

im afraid i had been cheated to a duplicate screen. has my screen gone bad or something? pls help me out guys

When mounting the ipad mini I notice that I do not hit correctly.

And what would be the best way to remove the excess tape that comes with the original screen?

I am trying to repair my ipad mini A1432, but I could not figure out what are the parts I need to buy to replace my crack screen..could someone please tell me what are the parts I need to buy to replace this crack screen.

P.S.-I already got necessary ifixit tool to open a device.

It doesn't happen straight away but over a few hours with no usage of unit.

It seems to be in the middle of the display, and nowhere near the edges.

I've changed the digitizer twice, thinking it was that, but it's still happening.

Installation had zero issues, and I've taken it out twice, but it's still happening.

Please help.

On the four iPads that are recognizing the computers as speakers, it looks like this:

They all have iOS 9.0.2. and the D-Link and the iPads are on the same WiFi. I've also tried reinstalling iTunes and Reflector and restoring the iPads. The problem seems to originate from the iPads themselves, not the PC's or their iTunes programs. All the settings look the same but I did notice a difference in the availability of home sharing in the general settings on the iPad.

On the malfunctioning iPads the menu's look like this:

Even when turned on off it still doesn't work:

On the iPads that display Airplay the way I want it the home sharing option is not available:

I've been troubleshooting this for over two weeks now and I would greatly appreciate any help.

I checked the digitizer connector and it seems fine. What am I doing wrong?

As you see when I press the touch screen the area is marked with at box. I was now able to get past the first screen but when I press the keyboard on the screen the keys are marked with a border around the key but nothing shows in the password field.

**UPDATE**

I tried to put back the original digitizer to test it even if it is broken. No better luck. But now the iPad boots to the Apple logo and then goes black. I have to unplug the battery and start up again and the same thing happens, Apple logo - then black! What the heck is happening?

I have been working on an iPad Mini which is giving me headache. I replaced the digitiser and experienced the screen going absolutely crazy when laid flat on the frame.

Got the solution for that by searching here - taping the copper parts on the new digitiser which solved the issue. But then I got a dead spot on the upper left corner instead, approx. 2x2 cm where the digitiser is unresponsive. Tried another digitiser but with the same result - a dead spot the same place.

When removing the digitiser from the frame and holding it up, it seems to work periodically.

I tend to think that there is a hardware error in the iPad but maybe I'm just missing something vital? Any suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated ..

I have read a lot of stuff here regarding the tape on the digitizer contact, I tried it with no success.

I have also available pictures of the digitizer and lcd connectors on the motherboard

Please help, I don't want to pay $400 for a new iPad!

By changing the digitizer i cut through the old digitizer cable, not thinking about that there was still the battery connected - could that have caused the problem. If yes, how can i fix it?

I replaced the front glass panel on the iPad mini. After I tried to turn it on I saw streaks on the display and the apple logo was blurred. I reopened all and checked all cable connections. All were connected properly.

Also if I try to slide the screen keeps black only the first lines at the top are moving.

Do you have any ideas what I can do?

I have the same issue , i have lost the parts near the battery connector, See Link.

I will be more than happy to know what is part marked as "2"

Can i create a short cut on either one of 1 or 2 instead of replace those ?
