PSP Go: Si è rotto il fusibile

Ciao a tutti,

Grazie in anticipo.

PSP Go: PSP Go | Schermo nero

Grazie in anticipo a chi risponderà.

PlayStation Vita: PSVita won't boot even after new battery (board issue?)

Hello, I recently acquired this Vita 2000 from a friend. When I first tried charging it, I got the orange light for a little bit, which then turned off, but I couldn't boot it. Tried all things suggested on the internet and decided to replace the battery, since nothing could fix it.

Now, with a new battery, it is still the same. The only way I could get the orange light to last a bit more is using a powerbank. Today, I took it apart to give it a more thorough cleaning and I discovered this:

As you can see, there are some small capacitors / fuses missing (look melted away) near the camera and power button ribbons. There seems to be like two of them missing towards the left of the camera ribbon too. Are these the issue? How critical of a problem is it? Is there any way to fix this without going for a new motherboard? I have no soldering experience.

Thank you if you took the time to read this wall of text...

PSP 1000: PSP Analog seems stuck, always running right

Hello, had a problem with my memory card reader so replaced that.

Since putting it back together the menu's work ok with the directional pad but when I load a game the character just runs to the right all the time in Dexter. Tried with another game that boots to the menu and it keeps scrolling downwards in the menus (could be due to it going right?)

I've tried removing the analog stick, but the character still goes right in game. Also tried cleaning the connections on the d pad and the analog connection and still is the same.

Also I have to press down hard of the dpad for it to work (just the down arrow). Everything else seams to work ok on the psp 1000.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PS Vita Slim: Battery charges, but green light only blinks once when turning on

I have a Vita PCH-2001 that I bought off eBay for parts and repair and I’m trying to figure out what the issue might be. The orange light turns on when charging and turns off when the battery is fully charged, however when attempting to turn on the system I am greeted by the brief flash of a green light and nothing else.

I am unable to get into safe mode, or make anything display on screen. I verified that the battery is alright by checking its voltage manually, and it sits at 4.18-4.2 volts.

Thus far, my only troubleshooting has been checking for water damage (none that I could find), and re-seating all the ribbon cables inside, which resulted in no change to the symptoms. It should be noted that this obviously included disconnecting the battery, which was what I originally tried thinking the issue may have been related to the previous firmware issue with Vitas.

Visually, I am unable to find anything wrong aside from some cosmetic scratches. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

PSP 3000: Why wont my psp3001 connect to my wireless router?

I have like 17 psp games but no psp console so today I got a used one. When I went home I tried to connect it to my wireless router. When the list of routers came up after scanning for them, my router showed up in the list but said incompatible. I tried clicking on it and nothing happened. The connection speed I have is 2.4G and 5.0G but only 2.4 showed up. . All of the other routers that showed up said incompatible also .My thought is that since this version of psp playstation portable devices is almost 10 years old the wireless connector of the psp is old and not as strong as todays electronics so it cant handle the connection speed my house router has, am I right? When I lived In my old house with my psp 3001 I had before, it connected fine, but the router for my old house is just as old as the psp 3001 is. So I think that the older router put out a slower speed that the psp could handle. Am I correct? Is their any way in the settings where I can get it to connect? I need to get to the part where I put in my routers password to then proceed to connect and it wont let me. Thanks.

PSP 1000: No display or power led

Hey, I’m kinda stuck on a PSP-1000. Battery and charger are good (checked with a basic voltage tester), but the thing just won’t turn on. No power LED, no screen, no sound.

I’ve already tried:

Different batteries

A new charging port

A new button board

Reseating the grey ribbon cable

Power is getting through (even to the LED board), but the LEDs never light up. Hold switch moves fine. Same result every time.

Before I drop like $50 on a replacement motherboard, does anyone know any common PSP-1000 issues that cause this? Bad ribbon cable? Blown component? Something dumb I’m overlooking?
