I'm suspecting a timing issue but I'm hoping not and I'm hoping somebody here can give me a good direction to go. I have spray the intake with carb cleaner to check for leaks and found none I also replaced the crank position sensor and it had no effect. also I have installed one O2 sensor because it didn't have anyone I bought it but I absolutely cannot find the plug-in for the O2 sensor in the front exhaust pipe, does anyone happen to know where that would be located? any information I can get would be absolutely wonderful and very much appreciated.

I’m having a frustrating issue with my Honda Dio NSC110 scooter, and I’m hoping someone here can help.

🛠️ Problem Summary:

The bike starts easily when cold (first start of the day or after sitting overnight).

But after a long ride at high speed (half hour), if I shut it down, it won’t start again for several hours.

Once fully cooled, it starts again just like normal.

It cranks, but no ignition.

This issue happens consistently after long rides, not after short ones.

🔧 What I’ve tried:

Replaced the spark plug → No improvement.

Air filter cleaned.

Fuel system seems fine – no clogging.

Battery voltage is good.

Spark plug is dry (not flooded).

🧠 My Guess:

Possibly ignition coil overheating?

CDI failing when hot?

Some kind of heat soak problem?

🏍️ Bike Info:

Honda Dio NSC110 (110cc fuel-injected scooter)

Mostly stock

Located in a warm climate (North Australia)

Any advice on how to troubleshoot this kind of hot-start failure?

How can I test if the CDI or ignition coil is to blame?

When the motorcycle is running, it has a panel with indicators, such as the N (Neutral) light when the gear is in neutral and the left/right signal indicators when the turn signals are activated. However, there are times while I am already riding that the panel lights suddenly turn off and the signal lights also stop working, but the engine continues to run normally.

I need to turn the key off and then turn it back on again before the panel lights and signal lights work properly again. However, the headlight remains working even when the panel and signal lights stop working. The motorcycle battery is also brand new.

What could be the possible cause of this issue?
