Shure SM57: Microphone won't pick up any sound

My Shure SM57 Microphone stopped working. I've always heard that these things are basically indestructible and I didn't do anything rough or harsh on it, it just stopped picking up sound one day. The phantom power on the the device I plug it into does work (I know this because other mics that require phantom power work). Does anybody have any idea what could be wrong with it or what I can do to fix it?

Shure SM58: xlr connector screw size

i have an sm58. the screw fell out that holds the xlr connector socket in place. i contacted shure and they sent a replacement but the screw is too big. what is going wrong here? what is the correct size screw?

Shure SM58: Suddenly very thin sound.

One of my (5) SM 58 mics suddenly seems to have lost all bottomend- sounds thin and a bit tinny. Same cable/ input all other mics fuller sound. More out put. Any ideas?

Shure SM57: Resonator has come loose on the Mic

So my SM57 had lost some gain so I opened up the microphone to see if I could fix it, of course, I just made it worse and the resonator came off the top of the mic and the adhesive seems to be dry so I cant stick it back on. I also tried just holding the loose part back onto where it should be but i couldn’t get any sound from it.

I know I might of just totally written off the mic but just wanted to see if anyone knew if it was a fixable issue, any help would be appreciated.

HyperX QuadCast S: Quadcast S not showing up in Device Manager (Win 11)

I have had issues with my ~2 year old Quadcast S for a bit now, nothing that prevented it for working though. For the past week the microphone had an error show up when plugged in, nothing I couldn't fix, I uninstalled the "unrecognized device" from Device Manager, reinstalled USB Composite Devices and it always started working. Today, the Quadcast S isn't even showing up in Device Manager.
Things I've tried:

Reinstalling Everything USB Related in the Device Manager (showing hidden devices)
Reinstalling Everything Audio Related in the Device Manager
Every other USB Port
Testing the original cable on another device (can charge and transmit data)
Using a USB-C to USB-C cable
Heating it up (as suggested on Reddit by another User with the same issue)
Changing Power Settings

Other Notes:

The Device isn't showing up in Device Manager
The RGB Lights aren't on
There is no connection sound made by Windows when plugged in
There is no pop-up by Windows when plugged in
I use NVIDIA Broadcast
All the drivers are up to date

It's as if the microphone doesn't exist. Help is appreciated, thanks!

i was wondering if this mic can be fixed it seems its fading in and out i dont know if the cardiod is destroyed or i need a direct box to give it more power ido have 48v on the mixer im using i just would like to see if it would be worth getting fixed or not

Logitech YETI NANO: How to disassemble Blue Yeti Nano

Hey, today my blue yeti nano broke so I tried to open it, I unscrewed the screw at the bottom of the casing but it is still blocked from being opened by the volume knob. Does anyone know how to remove it properly?

Blue Yeti: USB Plug Out of Place

Hello, the USB joint on my Blue Yeti microphone is out of place. Somehow while the cable was inside, it got bumped around or yanked the wrong way, and now the USB socket is dislodged.

I’ve watched some Youtube videos about how to fix it, but I don’t have any soldering equipment. Do you have any suggestions on how I might fix this?

Logitech SNOWBALL ICE: Microphone won't pick up any sound

I’ve owned a Blue Microphones Snowball iCE (white edition) and since last year it hasnt been picking up any sound. I’ve switched the cabel out but that wasnt the problem.

It lights up and if i mess with the cabel it will work for a certain amount of time but i need a permanent fix .

Shure SM58: Why is my Shure SM58 microphone glitching out?

Whenever I record something into my Shure SM58, I play it back and then I don't hear anywhere near what I was recording. Instead, I hear something that sounds more like a robot struggling to have a human voice. It sounds as if the audio is all glitched out. It might not be my microphone though, considering that the audio runs through my pre-amp. My pre-amp is a Focusrite Scarlett Solo 2nd generation. If anybody has any thoughts and/or solutions to this problem please help. This started occurring very recently and I have had the mic for about two months now. Thank you.

Sony ECM-MS907: I need to replace the cord... but with what cord?

The microphone cord seems to have a contact failure. I would be able to unweld the 3 little cords inside but I don't know with what cord I could replace it. I have a headphone cord, with a jack, but I'm not sure it'll work... and it has only 2 cords in it, not 3.

Does anybody has an idea ?

Microphone: rode nt1 not emiting enough signal to my interface

I have a RODE NT1 Signature Series and a Focusrite gen3 as my audio interface, it was running smoothly but something mustve happened. Because the microphone doesnt seem to recieve any signal, i dont think its the interface. Need help.

Well I'm a complete noob to this BUT is this fixable? I got a new microUSB port thinking of just re-drilling the little holes for the pins and re-soldering ? any advice?

snowball: How to remove the USB B port?

The USB port on the back of the mic seems to be glued with some sort of red cement. To the touch this glue is hard but rubbery.

I’m pretty sure it’s only touching 2 metal parts (the port casing and the thin hexagonal nut) but it might be touching the plastic usb port.

What is recommended to remove this glue? or is there another way to approach this problem and remove the port?

Shure SM58: On/off Switch Loose on Mic

Hi, the on/off switch on my new Shure SM58S is quite loose. When I turn the mic on, the switch slides to the off position VERY easily. Is there a way to tighten it - or should I return it and hope the next mic is better? Thank you for any help!

Shure SM57: Broken ground on older SM-57

I have an older SM-57 with 3 wires inside yellow, green and black ground. the ground has become disconnected on the side oing into the chassis. where does it connect?? the copper rail inside??
