MacBook Core 2 Duo: E' possibile installare scheda wireless BCM94321MC?

MacBook Core 2 Duo: Screen goes black, but computer is still running---

My early 2008 Macbook (White) screen has started to randomly go black when I am doing something. It is doing it more and more. After researching, I replaced the inverter board and the inverter cable. The problem persists.

When it goes black, I can use the F1 and F2 keys but have to keep it on a very low setting—and sometimes it won't work for long.

When it goes black, if I were to shine a light on the screen, I can see everything on the desktop!

HELPPPPP MEEEEE!!! Could it be something, besides a screen replacement that I can try myself? (A screen replacement will cost an arm and a leg.) I'm really aggravated by the whole thing since the timing is terrible.

The last 4 digits of my serial number are 70PO.

MacBook Core 2 Duo: What is this horrible clacking noise?

I have a two-year-old MacBook Core 2 Duo, which has begun occasionally making a loud noise over the last month: sometimes whirring, sometimes clacking, sometimes clicking.

The noise seems unrelated to which / how many programs are running--sometimes it begins when I open up my computer with no programs open and continues until I shut the lid, whereas other times it will start seemingly randomly as I'm working in Word or browsing online. I don't have anything in the CD drive.

I would say I hear some kind of unusual noise of varying loudness coming from my laptop about 25% of the time I'm using it, now. At its worst, it can be heard even when I'm playing music over my laptop speakers at full volume. It sounds like it's coming out of the back of the computer, and I'm pretty sure it's not the hard drive.

(I'm not sure whether or not it's relevant, but occasionally my laptop fails to pick up any wireless signal--even in my apartment, where I know there to be about 15 networks in range.)

So, here's my question: What could make this kind of noise? Why might it be so intermittent? Is there anything I can do to fix it?

MacBook Core 2 Duo: Battery not charging or seen by OS

Hi There,

Here's my problem,

The Macbook is functioning fine, but the battery shows a black cross. I can't boot without the power adapter connected but once started, even right in the beginning, i can disconnect the power and it boots up fine. The magsave connector is green.

Ive done the following step,

Reset the pram and smc even disconnected the pram cel for a wile.

Tested the battery and adapter on my other macbook (same model) And finally swapped both battery cable and mac connector with the working macbook. None solved the problem.

So i'm thinking its the logic board. and i would think this is reparable if i know witch component is the most common to fail.

Dos anyone have an suggestion?

Best regards,

MacBook Core 2 Duo: Distinguishing between inverter problem and LCD cable problem

I have the typical display problem where the back light comes on at a certain position of the lid.

How can I distinguish between an inverter or inverter cable problem and an LCD cable problem.

It must be backlight because I can see that the screen is working when an external light shines on it.

I am prepared to fix this myself but do not want to replace LCD cable when it's an inverter or inverter cable problem and of course vice versa.

Curiously sometimes I can open up the lid to upright after sleep and the display is normal but then it cuts out and I have to find the smaller angle of opening to keep the backlight on.

MacBook Core 2 Duo: My MacBook keeps freezing when its moved, is it the ram?

Hello i have a 2009 macbook core 2 duo, and its been working great until 2 weeks ago, when suddenly froze, so i reboot it and it just start working again until i move it, when it just froze again, so i did it again a couple of times to make sure that it just freezes when move so i did and in deed thats when the problem comes up, so i make a little research and i found that it might be a RAM problem, but in the articles i found the MacBooks didn't worked until the RAM was changed, and that's not my case, in a matter of fact im on it right now, it works perfectly while standing in a desk, but as soon as i move it it just freezes again, what can it be??

P.S. a couple of days i realize that the screw right in the middle of the under case is missing, i don't know if that might have make the RAM get loose so when its move the RAM moves, therefore freezes

MacBook Core 2 Duo: MacBook Core Duo to Core 2 Duo Logic Board Upgrade

Hi, I was wondering if there are any issues when upgrading from the original Core Duo 1.83 GHz Logic Board to the 1.83 or 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo Logic Boards. The specifications seem to be pretty much the same (same ram, video card, HDD and Optical Drive connectors). I've been reading a about how the later MacBooks switched to the JST style connector. Did they change sensor/connectors between these two motherboards?

Thanks for looking.
