HTC One M9: No more charging. Not even when turned off

My HTC has been working fine till i switched phone companies. Now, not only does it drain battery faster than any cable I’ve tried, the battery still drains faster than it charges even when turned off. I had my phone on the charger turned off for two days now and it only had enough energy to power on. It stayed at 27% and has never gotten back to 100 in months. Is there a way i can fix it or should i just find another phone?

HTC One M9: Camera issues after screen replacement

So, a While ago I replaced my phone's screen which was blacked out due to water damage. At one point I had it all reassembled and booting except I couldn't put the back cover on it because the power button assembly was messed up during my initial tear down. However when the phone turned on the cameras worked. Later I went back and replaced that, but now the cameras don't work. It's been like this a while and I've basically given up on getting either camera to work again. In apps that use the camera they are either black or show an undescriptive error without a code and crash. However, twice, rather recently, the front facing camera (selfie cam) has flickered into existance again. I was using Snapchat when suddenly to my shock the camera was working again. The picture was blurry and kinda hazy with vertical lines, and the back facing camera still didn't work at all. Then it stopped working again shortly after. This happened a second time today, and then stopped working again. This makes me think something could be loose, but as far as I can tell without a complete teardown of the whole phone no ribbon/flat cables are loose. Any ideas? Is it just fried?

HTC One M9: Power button repair issues

Hi guys,

I am repairing a HTC M9 that got badly damaged one side, the power botton got stuck in. But it appears the small magnetic part with the plastic that pushes down the power component has came off. Does anyone know can this be replaced (I dont even know what it's called) or does the entire part with volume buttons etc need to be replaced as a unit? Any advice would be great.

HTC One M9: Phone charges only when off and volume buttons wake device

My phone is rooted and runs the latest crDroid

The problems are:

-Phone only charges when off, but I once it starts charging it will continue after booting

-Both volume buttons turn on the screen

Both problems appeared simultaneously out of nowhere.

The same thing happened once already. I fixed the second issue by wiping and reinstalling the ROM. For the charging issue I found a weird solution: turning the device on with the volume down button pressed and with a strong light shining over the front camera/brightness sensor. I wasn’t expecting anything, but it worked for about one week, until both problems surfaced again.

Sometimes in my previous install something called Car Mode would turn on by itself, and I believe it’s somehow related to both these issues.

Any ideas? I tried different chargers, cables and cleaning the usb port.

HTC One M9: Cant turn on WiFi?

About two days ago I was walking on a somewhat tilted deck in a marina, and long story short I slipped into the water, sadly with my HTC One m9 in my pocket. I was in stomach high water for about ten seconds before I climbed out, phone still in pocket. I immediately turned off my phone even though it worked fine for the second I was looking at it. I proceeded to take it out of its case and dry it thoroughly , and let it sit in the warm sun for about two hours. Later It wouldn't turn on, and when charged the device would turn on and stay on, but the screen would flicker and go to black. After leaving it sitting for one night, I faced the same results. At this point I Decided to take advice from a friend who has been in this situation many times before, and let it sit in an oven running at 115° F for a couple hours, to remove any major water in the phone. I came back, let it cool down, plugged it in, and let it charge for about ten minutes, and then turned it on, and to my joy it worked! Although it may have been slow and somewhat unresponsive for the first minutes using it, it has now become smooth as ever with everything BUT one of the most crucial aspects of a phone, Wi-Fi. I am able to flawlessly use my LTE coverage, yet whenever I attempt to enable Wi-Fi it attempts to for about a minute then says ERROR where the icon is. After hours of use of the phone and its regular functions, I still get the same result, and it leads me to believe that somehow the built in Wi-Fi card was damaged while the rest of the phone survived. If there is any way to attempt to fix this, it would be much appreciated, as I am currently on vacation and cannot get a new phone through the warranty I have until I am home, and I would rather not burn up all of my data using my phone. Thanks and sorry for the long read.
