I've ran into an issue where the system won't boot, instead giving me a black screen, the light of the F5-key (mute) is on and the Caps-lock key blinks 5 times slow, then the fans start audibly spinning.

I have already tried putting the RAM stick in the other slot (a friend of mine with the same system had a similar issue when the RAM turned out to be loose) but to no avail. It also sometimes does boot (I haven't found a pattern to that) but it doesn't take long for it to cut to black again. Lastly I have found that the laptop will often boot after hitting the left half of the keyboard.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you very much in advance.
